Hey guys, the Lego store in the Johnsonville Foodcourt is simply all the spill-over stock from the Toyworld just outside the mall. They are most likely renting the space just for the busy Christmas period. They have all the normal stock, and have 50% off a limited number of Indy sets as well, so it would be worth visiting during the open hours if you want to get a good deal. :classic: All other prices were standard Toyworld prices from what I could see, although I noted that the Death Star has been marked up to $900 now.

Thanks for the confirmation Draggy. It's a pity that's all it is though, because I've been waiting for a real LEGO store in NZ for a while.

For those who can't get to Farmer's today, it looks like they'll be having the exact same thing (under a different name) for Lego on Thursday.

Wow Ive certainly missed a lot while on holiday. The temporary store does seem tempting to get some sets at marked down prices. I would really love it to become permanent. Does it look like a regular lego store like this one?

I think someone said it was just a Toyworld renting it out for the summer to sell excess Lego sets.

They did that last summer in Auckland as well, kinda annoyed me as they didn't have any SW. :hmpf_bad:

Hey All - J'Ville toyworld do this most years and open up a little 'satellite store' in the mall. The actual Toyworld is perched out at the far end of the car park and isnt part of the mall itself, so I know they do this to raise their profile, and of course sell more Lego.

At this stage at least they simply sell boxed Lego, and dont have any other attractions, such as PaB, Building tables etc etc.

One of my 'Lotto dreams' is to set up a dedicated Lego store here in NZ:) - so yeah, someday, maybe...

I hope you win Lotto and get to realise your dream then.

The Kmart flyer I got yesterday has a Buy 1 Toy and get 60% off a Second starting tomorrow (Thurs)!! Shame that when I was at my local Kmart in the weekends the Lego shelves look really bare. Nothing I'm interested in on the shelves but I'll go have a look in the weekend again just in case they restock the shelves.

Yes Im going to try get them around boxing day...usually the warehouse or Kmart have some cheap toy sales then! :cry_happy:

Only prob is that they might not be there! :oh3:

If not then will snap an echo Base quickly off TM before everyone 'ups' their prices because they are "no longer available".

Will have to miss RAS then. :sadnew:

If they don't have any this year SW sets at boxing day, then maybe they would have next years SW sets...in early stock! :cry_happy: ....hopefully..

EDIT:

Forgot to say that the other day when I went to Warehouse they had around 5 maybe 6 AT-APs!!!!

Might get one for christmas!! mabye.....

The Sylvia Park Warehouse has about 20 AT-AP selling for $80 each and the Toyworld at Sylvia Park has the Agent Aerial Defence Unit 8971 at 50% off for $75. Shame I'm not into Agent or else that set is at a pretty good price.

Unfortunately, in the top left hand side there's a bubble that says online only, which means a lot of the better products are excluded. :hmpf_bad:
