k_r_brown Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 who sells the LEGO - City 7636 Combine Harvester can't find it anywhere ? is it an exclusive>?
David Thomsen Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 who sells the LEGO - City 7636 Combine Harvester can't find it anywhere ? is it an exclusive>? I don't think the farm range really took off enough. It wasn't kidsy enough for the kids, having no ray guns and sharks, but it was too kidsy for the adults, especially with the farm buildings having no walls. Even the Toy World Exclusive Pig Farm is on special now. I think Toy World is the best place to try though. I don't remember them being widely stocked anywhere else.

RileyC Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 on side not 50% OFF ALL TOY STORY LEGO at the warehouse this week instore ooh thanks for that. I must go in and have a look at my local ones to see what sets they have.
Legoman Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 got one via toyworld on side not 50% OFF ALL TOY STORY LEGO at the warehouse this week instore Ohh thanks for the heads up. I'll be happy when they do that for POP Toystory doesn't exactly have good part packs though, and all the sets are insanely overpriced anyway. May have to pick up a few army men though, at $11 a pop it's a bargain!
vmln8r Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 got one via toyworld on side not 50% OFF ALL TOY STORY LEGO at the warehouse this week instore Its a good deal, but I've gotten so much Lego that I have to be really selective. I'll try to stay away from the Warehouse for the time being I'm after the Bionicle set 8995 Thornatus V9. If anyone has this or possibly other Bionicle vehicles/ Technic sets they'd like to sell, PM me P.S. Has anyone tried Lego direct? I've emailed Toyworld, awaiting their response.
Legoman Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 P.S. Has anyone tried Lego direct? I've emailed Toyworld, awaiting their response. What's this in relation to exactly?
vmln8r Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 (edited) What's this in relation to exactly? Sorry, should have clarified. Has anyone in NZ used this to get specific parts direct from Lego - not the replacement/lost parts form, where orders can only be from one set. Edited October 20, 2010 by VMLN8R
David Thomsen Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Does anyone know if Toy World are having a sale this Labour weekend? If they have 25% off the freight train set, I'm almost certainly going to get it...
CommanderFox Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 P.S. Has anyone tried Lego direct? I've emailed Toyworld, awaiting their response. Never heard of it till now. Looks promising if you need parts, but it sounds like its only for Europe. CF
k_r_brown Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Does anyone know if Toy World are having a sale this Labour weekend? If they have 25% off the freight train set, I'm almost certainly going to get it... they have a 20-50% off storewide sale on so get at least 20% off it
RileyC Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Toyworld, Farmers and The Warehouse all have 20% off Lego minimum. Toyworld has a few sets above 20% off but not too many and they are sets that they want to just get rid of like Indy sets and the TIE defender which was $69

Picked up the train for $99.99 . Will modify it for my City/Train layout.
Toye Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Hi everyone, new to the forums. I've recently turned into a kid again and have gone nuts with Lego - nearly $400 worth bought in a couple of weeks. Can anyone tell me what sort of range Kmart/Farmers/Toyworld have in comparison to the Warehouse? The warehouse range seemed pretty average but the 20% of all lego was good. Anyone know any good specials for labour day? Especially Pirate/Castle/City sets.
harmacy Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 (edited) The Warehouse has Toy Story LEGO 50% off. Picked up the train for $99.99 . Will modify it for my City/Train layout. I actually forgot that there was a train in the TS line-up. I wasnt remotely interested in the train when i first saw it, but for $99, it might actually be tempted (looks at clock to see if local warehouse is open....). Make sure you post pics etc when you modify it.. EDIT - Boo, none of the local Warehouses have it. If any one spies one this weekend, can they please let me know and Ill get in touch with the warehouse in question. Cheers. Edited October 23, 2010 by harmacy
RileyC Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Hey Toye welcome to EB! Well I think Toyworld usually has the best range out of all the places that have lego. Kmart usually has Lego sets under RRP but The Warehouse and Farmers usually have the best sales. I live in Hamilton and I always check K Mart and Toyworld to see if they have any sales or good bargains happening when Im shopping around. So what part of NZ do you live in?
Toye Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Hi Roncanator, Thanks for the welcome. I'm an Aucklander. Haven't been to Toyworld or Kmart but have to the Warehouse and Farmers of which the latter has a better range. How much under RRP does Kmart have lego? So far I've bought these sets in the last couple of weeks: 7631 (City - Dump truck - 1 minifig) 7639 (City - Campervan that opens - 2 minifigs) 7948 (Kingdoms - Medium size castle tower with catapult - 3 minifigs) 3180 (City - Petrol truck with small station - 1 minifig) 7950 (Kingdoms - Small catapult - 2 minifigs) 7241 (City - Small fire car - 1 minifig) 7630 (City - Digger - 1 minifig) 7236 (City - Police Car - 1 minifig) 6243 (Pirates - Large pirate ship - 7 minifigs) 3222 (City - Helicopter and Limo - 4 minifigs) Usual price of all was $455 I got them for $305 all up. Trying to find more pirates sets to no avail - want to buy the soldiers fort set. Also, how old is everyone here? I feel quite embarrassed going around the kids section - any tips? :P
RileyC Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Seems like you have had a pretty nice haul so far! I really need to buy another set soon cause I havent had one in ages! Also, how old is everyone here? I feel quite embarrassed going around the kids section - any tips? :P Well im 16, some of us are around that age but others are older. I think thats just something you get over really. If you really dont like it go at a time where there isnt a lot of people around like in the morning or later in the night. That way is really only the staff you have to deal with it and there are no kids around. Or just buy online The Kmart in the past year or so has had sets about $10-$20 lower. Then you add a 20% off sale on top of that and you can get some pretty good deals.

Now I feel really old at 21 >_< $10 to $20 lower sounds like a lot less if you factor in the small - medium sets, might have to have a look - are they having a sale at the moment? Also anybody know when new lego sets come out for the year? I'm wanting to grab a police station and I know there is one coming out soon

Says 4 - 12 on the box ;D Good to hear it comes out twice a year - I need to get my fix I'm considering getting that $300 ship - think its called the Imperial Flagship. A little on the expensive side but looks fantastic.
Dragonator Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Welcome to EB Toye, great to see another NZer getting back into the hobby. You should go introduce yourself in the Hello My Name Is... forum. I'm considering getting that $300 ship - think its called the Imperial Flagship. A little on the expensive side but looks fantastic. It's a great ship and well worth the money (although even better when you can get it on sale! ). As you're into city sets as well I can highly recommend the modular buildings line, which are all fun and intricate builds.

They look fantastic but are really expensive. If only they had some smaller ones. I might consider importing from the US as the dollar is so strong now. Shipping must be really expensive though.
