KimT Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 your moc must post you here?and am possible I also a link put where the fhoto `s are? Your MOC is supposed to be posted within the 'Watto's Junkyard' - not as a reply to this topic. A link to the photos is more than welcome. If you have any doubts about the rules - you might consider sending a pm to one of the Dutch members here and have him/her help you in translating it. Quote
ForceMaster Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Hm-m-m-m, nice contest! I shall try to participate though to build vehicle I not so I am able. One question - land-base vehicle in SW are walkers only? Or hovering venicles includes too?) Quote

I shall try to participate though to build vehicle I not so I am able. One question - land-base vehicle in SW are walkers only? Or hovering venicles includes too?) Hovercrafts are considered vehicles. As long as it 'drives' instead of 'flies'. Landspeeders, speederbikes, AT-ST, Snail Tank & AT-TE are all good examples on land-based vehicles. Is that clear enough? Quote
ForceMaster Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 KimT Thanks for explanations, all is clear. But... you have told, that the transport which has been not made in Lego is accepted only. Or AT-ST and Snail Tank - only examples?) Quote

Or AT-ST and Snail Tank - only examples?) I was merely giving examples. Models already done and released by TLG aren't allowed to enter. So no AT-AT, Snail Tank, Speederbike, Landspeeder or AT-ST - which is why I used them as examples of land-based vehicles. Quote
Oky Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Sweet! The Era of Contests has begun! Now I know what I'll do for Spring Break. I'll definitely enter for at least one of the categories. I have some nice, Battlefront-inspired ideas! Time to train my force-MOCing powers... Quote
pr0visorak Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 So, we have to build a vehicle. But what era is it? IS it only the episode 2 era and before as Watto lost his junkyard remember? Quote
KimT Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 So, we have to build a vehicle. But what era is it? IS it only the episode 2 era and before as Watto lost his junkyard remember? Have you read the rules? Star Wars Universe or own imagination. Isn't that enough? Quote
prateek Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Why would stormtroopers go undercover?Sounds far fetched to me... I suggest you reread the first post and discover that yes, you may make up things - but you need to keep it within the Star Wars Universe or be damn good at explaining how and why it's linked to it. why not? or undercover clone troopers to uncover a seperatist plan or something Quote
jifel Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I am right now downloading pics of small and medium MOCS, then I will resize, and upload. So no one takes them, it is a cutom type speeder bike and an AAC-1 tank. Up by tonight, I hope! jifel Quote

-JD- Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Can we update our model after posting the original, as long as it is before the finishing date? Thanks. JD Btw, can a sleek and simple ship have any chance of winning (in the small catergory)? Quote
Legoman Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 (edited) Can we update our model after posting the original, as long as it is before the finishing date? Thanks. Good Question... I would like to know about that too... Btw, can a sleek and simple ship have any chance of winning (in the small catergory)? I don't think so. It's a Land-Based Vehicle Contest, Drives not flys. Anyway, I'm building a RIC-920 with Rickshaw. No-one copy me please Edited February 28, 2009 by legoman Quote

Yes you're allowed to update your posted models until the end date and hour, after that, I'll close the topics temporarily until the voting is over. A sleek and simple vehicle could win.. No ships this time - maybe in the next contest. the topics can be WIP mocs, right? Right Sorry. I meant vehicle. I made a speeder. JD A speeder is considered a vehicle. Quote
Skipper 24 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I keep thinking up ideas for great water craft. It's driving me crazy, I can't think of any land vehicles to make . Quote
KimT Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 I keep thinking up ideas for great water craft. It's driving me crazy, I can't think of any land vehicles to make . Land-based would include ships the way I see it. What not to build is things that fly... Star Destroyers, ?-Wing fighters and stuff like that. Quote
Skipper 24 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 (edited) So we can enter boats/water craft then? Just flying ships are a big no no. Edited February 28, 2009 by Skipper 24 Quote
KimT Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 So we can enter boats/water craft then? Yeeees! I've updated the first post with this: Update: Land-based includes Walkers, Animals (like Rancor and Banthas), Ships, Hovercrafts like the landspeeder and of course wheel or belt driven vehicles like tanks and trucks. Just as long as the goddam things don't fly. Quote
Legoman Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I'm torn. I can't decide if a Air-taxi is a ship or Vehicle Can anyone help? I don't want to start working on an illegal Entry Quote

I don't want to start working on an illegal Entry An Air-Taxi, eh? Like the one in the 5th Element? Or as in the Bounty Hunter Pursuit kinda way? If so, then yes, it's a vehicle and not a plane.
