JimBee Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 An Air-Taxi, eh?Like the one in the 5th Element? Or as in the Bounty Hunter Pursuit kinda way? If so, then yes, it's a vehicle and not a plane. It flies, though. High above the ground. Just like a helicopter. I'll get to work on one of those, then. Quote
Legoman Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 It flies, though. High above the ground. Just like a helicopter. I'll get to work on one of those, then. Go ahead... I've decided not to build one It's a hard shape to get right... Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 My entry is really done now. It's really big and I managed to keep it under 200 pieces. 198 to be precise. Pics up tommorow hopefully. Quote

Natman8000 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I look forward to seeing it... Thanks. You would believe it is big, I had to take off the guns to keep it in the limit. The ship looks like it has 300 pieces but I really crammed in as little as I could. 1. be prepared for some trandoshians. and 2. It's a diplomatic armored transport for wartime so I'd call it creative. Quote
Nich Artri Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I've built my MOCs but haven't posted them yet... really, really tired. o_o I have a small and medium entry built and ready for photographing. At this point, I'm not going to bother entering the large category, unless everyone wants to see a huge, technicolored landspeeder or something like that. XD 'K...off to sleep! Cheers! -Nich Quote
Future74 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 An artillery piece/anti-vehicle gun allowed as landbased vehicle? Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Question. If we use a brick-built stand in one pic just for a better view, would it be considered part of the MOC? Quote
KimT Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 An artillery piece/anti-vehicle gun allowed as landbased vehicle? Yes Question. If we use a brick-built stand in one pic just for a better view, would it be considered part of the MOC? No it wouldn't. It's allowed. Just make sure to mention it in the topic, so that we all know that the big orange lump o' bricks isn't part of your CIS camouflaged-tree-cutting-flamethrower-tank-ARGH1 Quote
Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?! Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 (edited) Mine's just finished, but I have some pic resizing problems to deal with. Clicky! Back story coming with my main post... Also, it's about 120 peices. Q:Are we allowed to enter one in each category? I have a sweet droid idea... Edited March 2, 2009 by Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?! Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Yay, I finished, and I finally put a moc on eurobricks. And KimT, its a diplomatic land-shuttle not a flamethrower kabooieblob. Quote
Bob Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I've just finished my creation, and will upload it at a different time. Also, just a quick question, is it okay if I enter and not win any prizes, even if I do win the compitition? I just don't really want any prizes, however, thats on the slim chance that I do win, even though I won't. I just want to enter this for fun. P.S: It involves water. Quote

CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I have finished my UT-AT. It is the best Moc I have done. But one question-What happens when we exceed our minifig limit? Quote
KimT Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 I have finished my UT-AT. It is the best Moc I have done. But one question-What happens when we exceed our minifig limit? Then you're disqualified. Quote
Zepher Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Let's say I built something a while ago, but never photographed it or published it. It's fair game, right? Quote
Bobskink Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Let's say I built something a while ago, but never photographed it or published it. It's fair game, right? not anymore. Quote
KimT Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 Let's say I built something a while ago, but never photographed it or published it. It's fair game, right? Why would you say that If you've built a MOC for this contest then post it. It's that simple. Allow me to remind everyone that: All entries posted until the end date of the contest are considered Works In Progress. All entries not living up to the rules on the end date are disqualified All entries will be indexed - this does not mean they are qualified or 'good' enough All entries will be commented 1 week before the end date by me, giving guidelines on how to qualify for the vote This has also been added to the first post Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Is it alright if there are more than the five requested pictures in the post if they are necessary to show a certain feature, like hidden guns? Or will more than five disqualify the entry? Quote
KimT Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 Is it alright if there are more than the five requested pictures in the post if they are necessary to show a certain feature, like hidden guns? Or will more than five disqualify the entry? You're allowed as many as you'd like. There has to be the 5 required pictures (front-rear-right side-left side & top), but on top of that - "knock yourself out" Quote
Future74 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Nice to see so many already posting up Keep up the good work! Quote
KimT Posted March 10, 2009 Author Posted March 10, 2009 Missed that.If treads are used, then each side will count as one piece. Thus making the right and left treads of this vehicle count as 2 pieces - otherwise a very small model would become large entry on no time. "Clear?" To further explain: A tread be that made from the smaller technic bits or the large rubber caterpillar belts counts as one piece. Quote
pdragon27 Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 How many entries may we have in one category? And are we allowed a 3/4ths shot also? Quote
KimT Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 How many entries may we have in one category? And are we allowed a 3/4ths shot also? As stated in the first post: One entry per category Minimum picture requirement is front-top-rear-left side and right side, additional pictures are welcome. Quote
LFN Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Alright I posted my moc just today in the Battlepack Alternate model topic, before I stumbled upon this contest. I realize there is a rule where existing moc's may not be entered, but as I have said, I completed and posted the moc today, so would my entry be disqualified if I entered it? Quote
