---Vertea--- Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 (edited) Alrighty! Then heeeeere's the Rebel Defender: ...And this is the Empire Stalker Drone: Attack mode: Sail mode: Tripod mode: Edited July 25, 2009 by ---Vertea--- Quote
ProducePrincess Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 How does the rebel defendwer fly if it has tiny rotor's? other than that it looks fine. The drone looks alot like black fantasy. computerbug-the decal looks good i just find it kinda scary and it give me nightmares (not a bad thing i guess). I sugest that you make a minifig with that decal on it so we can see how it looks in real life Quote
Oky Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 It's that time of year again - Steam Empire Thread Revival Time! @ C-Bug: Interesting decal, but it looks kinda... weird. No offense, but I think I'll stick with a purist solution. @ Vertea: Nice MOCs, especially that Winged Beast - er, I mean "Empire Stalker Drone". Oki: My idea for the queen was to use a Geonosian body with some kind of cyborg head and a cape and a staff. But feel free to do what you will; remember though, she shouldn't be too colorful and should look like she's less than human. Well, using that description, I have tried to come up with the best purist solution: Please let me know how you guys like it and if you have any suggestions for improvement. Also, I need some help with the design of the $100 set which I'm working on. I want it to be the Queen's Sky Fortress, and the general design will be a platform held in the air by two zeppelins on the sides. Right now I imagine it like King's Castle Siege in that it has a main tower in the back with the queen's throne in it and two smaller towers in the front with anti-air weapons on them, which guard a retractable ramp for Imperial flyers to take off from. In between, it will have some machinery of sorts. I don't want it to look too Castle-like and I could use some ideas to make it more interesting, so any suggestions are welcome. Quote
ProducePrincess Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 ^ thanks for restarting this topic! You also gave me an intresting idea for a futureistic moc.The fig you made is nice and the pieces aren't too hard to come by. I wonder why this topic kinda died after a while? Quote
Algernon Posted September 21, 2009 Author Posted September 21, 2009 My profound apologies for my absence. I have been very busy with school and personal issues and I have fallen out of LEGO collecting. I will update the topic tomorrow. :) Quote
ProducePrincess Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 My profound apologies for my absence. I have been very busy with school and personal issues and I have fallen out of LEGO collecting. I will update the topic tomorrow. :) About time you came back , now we can finally finish this project. We have been having a few disagreements about the queen minifig as you can see. What do you mean by Fallen out of lego collecting? Quote
Algernon Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 Really loving that transforming steam beast. Reminds me of 9. I like that Queen, however I'm iffy on the hair and I think the general colors should be more "rusty". Less blue and silver and more old gray and brown. That way she'll look really weird. And lets not overlook the possibility of a brick-built queen... Quote
Oky Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Mkay... Should I change the cape to a black or brown one? Should I change the lightsaber hilt to a grey one or use a different piece all together? Should I exchange the hands with brown ones? What hair do you want me to use? Hm... brick-built queen, eh? That gives me an idea. What if she has legs like Spyclops, with a tiny steam engine in the back? Quote
Tereglith Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Reviving the thread again (or maybe just kicking a dead horse, I don't know). This is a "good guys" impulse. The most elite troops in the rebel army are those in the jetpack corps. Flying through enemy space on a pair of cloth wings and a steam-powered jet, the jetpack corps are ready to challenge any of the queen's forces with their dual pickaxes and two pnuematic rifles. Contains one rebel jetpack corpsmember. 21 pieces. Quote
ProducePrincess Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I like your Rebel impulse and it looks really well built but sadly i think you are just kicking a dead horse. Agernon hasn't been around lately on eurobricks and most of the intrest has disapeared fpr this project Lets hope we can get this thread going again Quote
Tereglith Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Dang, kicking dead horses is always so smelly. It gets the flies riled up, and some of the maggots fall out. I'll post some pictures of a $10 set later today, we should see if we can Frankenstein this thing. Quote
Algernon Posted October 18, 2009 Author Posted October 18, 2009 Yeah sorry guys I've just been real busy lately (yeah I know I sound like a broken record). Oky: just tinker around and post what you come up with! Remember what I say isn't the final word, I'd like to hear what everyone else has to say as well. Tereglith: I like that backpack lol. Sure, we can make that an impulse. Quote
Jack-O-lantern Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I'd Make A £9.99 set. Wont you need a £199.99? It'd Be huge Like a City in the sky! Maybe a £299.99 But that might Get carried away. Quote
Tereglith Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) You can go ahead and make whatever you feel like making, as long as it might be made by lego under some circumstances. Welcome to Eurobricks btw, as this is only your second post. Edited November 1, 2009 by Tereglith Quote
zouave Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Thanks for the reference again. I hope I can help out here but my design skills are less than par. Question: does this take place in the past or future? Quote
Tereglith Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Thanks for the reference again. I hope I can help out here but my design skills are less than par. Question: does this take place in the past or future? Backstory and all Algernon-approved MOCs are in the first post. Quote
zouave Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Reading back I see interest has kinda died. May I suggest a story change such as: 2 rival countries get into the industrial revolution. One is a evil mega power and the other is small, honorable country. This allows for alot more stuff. Not so creepy either. Quote
Jack-O-lantern Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 It'a made But The photo(s) Are on my Camera... Quote
Tereglith Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Zouave - Yes, interest in the project has definitely died down. But I don't think that a random plot change would help it any. You could consult Algernon about it, though, if he gets back on any time soon. Jack-O-latern - get a cord, then! Quote
zouave Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Alright. I just noticed the theme kept things air based but I'm best with ground machines. Quote
Jack-O-lantern Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Well Heres the link to the photos http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/163333 Quote
