So, Brickaholic-who is addicted to brickahol-wanted me to start this poll and after some intense clarification we have two questions to pose...

1. In our Community Town, would you prefer plain baseplates or would you rather build a sidewalk and

2. Would you prefer a sidewalk using tiles or plates?

and while we're at it

3. Should the sidewalk be one plate or two plates high?

4. Should our community use the same pattern as the current LEGO modular sets?

What's a "sidewalk"? Is that like how in Prince of Persia the hero can walk on walls, or is it how kids wear out shoes by walking badly?

Maybe you're addicted to brickahol. Its the path you walk on next to the street. :hmpf:

Thanks for the poll Hinkley!

A sidewalk is a special Michael Jackson move.

I voted that we use Cafe Corner style buildings and if we did that the side walk would technically be a little over a plate thick.

Do you know what brickahol is Hinckster? It's building while under the influence! Evil admins! Sinner, Wikipedia "sidewalk"!

Sorry to mess things up, but I'm a bit confused.

We could still build the side walks on the plain road plates right?

So I would like to add to the poll:

- do we use road plates, or custom made roads?

Kind regards,

Teddy

I say we do standard snotted roads.

In terms of aesthetics, I want:

Tiled!

Two plates high!

Definitely following the Cafe Corner standard! (If you're on to a good thing, why mess with it?)

However... Is it still a Classic Town build if we're following a CC modular standard?

Classic Town has studded pathways... buildings sit one plate high... and generally the buildings are small and backless.

So is this really a Classic Town community build or a Cafe Corner one?

I'm sorry if my question is confusing or seemingly redundant... all the brickahol has gone straight to my head...

Sweet, sweet brickahol

In Australia they have logical names for things, like sidewalk is "Juckfozzer." A sidewalk is a juckfozzer, stupid walrus.

Svelte_corps, this build isn't either type. This is just a City build, not Modular or Classic.

The original post by Brickahol said County not Classic.

Logical, very logical.

I see what you're saying... but if everyone in this poll votes for Cafe Corner characteristics, won't it just turn out that way?

If it walks like a juckfozzer, talks like a juckfozzer, and squawks like a juckfozzer, in the end, isn't it simpler to call a juckfozzer a juckfozzer?

(I can't speak for all the Aussies here; in my neighbourhood a 'juckfozzer' is a common type of aquatic bird :sadnew:)

EDIT: I notice that the title of this poll has already been sneakily changed while i made this post in order to make me look insane. Thanks admins!

Let's be clear, the baseplate isn't counted in the plates, so the cafe corner juckfozzer is only 1 plate high. The Classic Town sidewalk-as we call it in the states-is no plates high.

I've changed the title to say "Eurobricks Town" as opposed to Classic Town. :classic:

Is it really????????!!!!!!

 It's you US types who change stuff and expect everyone else to follow. Sidewalk? It's an action not a object!

I'll get back in my pool now.

Predictable. :hmpf:

My courthouse doesn't have a sidewalk. The stairs take that up. I'll try and get pictures up tommorow.

Stupid juckfozzer, that's not a rick-roll,

Bob the Construction Man, that will not matter. Just have fun! :classic:

A tiled juckfozzer? You guys are crazy. We need to apply some logic here as to whether a tiled 9v juckfozzer would fly into a tree any better than a studded 9v juckfozzer. Then, and only then, can we decide on the pavement,i mean juckfozzer, standard.

You guys are making no sense.

Actually, I prefer my sidewalk which is also known as pavement to be made available in the course of building to represent the human traffic. I will strongly prefer the use of tiles but at the same time, plates work well for me. However, I am not sure if plates done on a higher platform will look much better though.

Well, looky here, the pickiest chandelier inspector in all of Lego County! I was hoping for tiles 1 high.

That's the craziest thing I've ever heard. What could possibly be confusing you? The juckfozzer? The 9V sidewalk? Trees? What?

Why not 9v Juckfozzers crashing makes lots of sense. Maybe this'll help enlighten you (Just don't buy any of it).
