Space Odysseyer Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 H.Ford woul like to kill Indiana Jones. He's tired of this character. This means that we should have a new movie where the professor actually die, or maybe they'll do like with his father that died off-screen. Thankfully, it was just a rumor, which has been disproven. Blondie-Wan Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 H.Ford woul like to kill Indiana Jones. He's tired of this character. This means that we should have a new movie where the professor actually die, or maybe they'll do like with his father that died off-screen. Thankfully, it was just a rumor, which has been disproven. Indeed, everything he's previously said indicates Harrison is fond of playing Indy (in fact, he's one of only four characters he's played more than once, and he's been Indy more times than any other character). Besides, Indy has already been shown alive and kicking in his early 90s, long after the timeframe of the movies (though granted, the canon status of the "old Indy" sequences is kind of ambiguous now). At any rate, there's no real indication the character will die in a future movie (and I think it's safe to say there's no way there'll be a "passing of the torch" movie based around Mutt with an off-screen death, at least not anytime soon). I beleive the fact that a new Indy movie- as well as 3D versions of the previous movies- is coming should convince TLG to bring the line back. They stated how shacked they were at the line's success, and I doubt they'd pass down an oppurtunity like this. But if not, then a 30th anniversary set is in order. The Tank Chase is indeed the best candidate, an iconic sceane of the best movie with most of the important charecters of the first 3 movies. Oh, I should have mentioned earlier that there actually won't be 3-d versions of the movies (at least not soon); that was another rumor. I overlooked that in your post the first time I read it. Quote
Gregorovich Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Personally, I don't believe they'll make a fifth film or an anniversary set, although I hope they make both! For the anniversary set, I'd like to see: Pankot Palace or Temple of the Holy Grail or Ravenwood Cafe or Lao Shae's Plane Quote
The Real Indiana Jones Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 (edited) LEGO can still do the university, a GOOD Cairo, Ark opening scene, Club Obi Wan, Indian village, Pankot palace, Venice, Tank chase, Grail Temple just to name a few. For the anniversary set, I'd like to see: Pankot Palace or Temple of the Holy Grail or Ravenwood Cafe or Lao Shae's Plane Luckily, there are several non-Indy sets that make great stand-ins or parts-packs for some of the missing Indy locales: - The new Hogwarts makes a great stand-in for Marshall College (if you remove all the magic items and replace them with Indy's artifacts) - The Ninjago Dojo can make a lovely stand-in for Club Obi-Wan in Shanghai (just replace the obstacle course with tables and chairs) - The Battle of Alamut makes a perfect stand-in for Pankot Palace (exactly as it is, or with just some minimal rebuilding) - The parts in The Race Against Time could easily be re-built into an Ark-Opening, or a Grail Temple (use the light-up-brick for the Ark!) - And if you want to expand your Venice setup a bit, I have a design for a gondola posted here. For the gondolier, you can use black legs, red hips, the "mime" torso with normal hands, add a red cowboy bandana, and a macho Italian or Mediterranean looking face and hair. Even without the right hat, he looks immediately recognizable. And www.fineclonier.com has excellent decals for all the minor characters. Fortune and Glory! KDog Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 The one Indy set I'd most like to see produced would be the Grail Temple from Last Crusade. I imagine it would be designed similarly to the Golden Idol set, with the series of traps for Indy to defeat and the Grail room and knight at the end. Quote
