Hi, not sure if anyone has already discovered this, but there are a few Lego books on the way from DK. One is a 'celebration of 30 years of the minifig', the other two are castle and pirate books with about 130 pieces each, two minifigs and ten different instructions.

Both scans are here. There's nothing really new or special about the pirate and castle sets... they just look like new versions of Pirate Building Set 6192 and Castle Building Set 6193 for slightly older kids.

Interesting. I like the castle one, if it is cheap and available it would be a good gamble to get. the pirate one looks decent, reminds me of cannon battle.

Oooh~ I think I see the unreleased Skeleton Chariot.

I really like the little steamboat that the imperial has. I think I might try to build one. The inclusion of the unreleased skeleton chariot is awesome, too!

I like those, they seem to have more specialized parts than the building sets - too bad they don't have unique torsos.

It will be nice to have a printed minifig guide to act as a companion for the Collecter's Guide, and also since the '50 Years of the Lego Brick' book didn't seem to cover them in any detail.

Hmm, three more books I need to get. I wonder if my budget will hold this year?

Looking forward to the minifig book. Also to those brickmaster books which I suspect are the idea books that there's been circulating rumours about.

... and if you look closely, both of them seem to be exclusive Brickmaster sets. :hmpf:

Well, I didn´t want them anyway.

And I cannot find the new Lego books on the german section of DK. :sadnew:

Surely they'll be available on Lego.com, similarly to the Brickmaster CD pack? Surely... :sceptic:

God Bless,

Nathan

The prices in the catalogue scan are in Euros, so they should be more widely available than Brickmaster subscriptions. I agree with Norro that they will probably be available on S@H. I wouldn't be surprised if they appeared in regular bookstores, too.

These could be similar to the older DK books that came with a pouch attached to a book -

Can't wait for the books to come out. Great find! I"ll probably buy the brickmaster ones. That is, if you can get them through lego shop, otherwise, I have to join brickmaster.

Wow! They are really cool! I hope I will be able to get one in Poland! (Previous Lego book was available

here)

The sets are cute, I really like the castle one.

Obviously I wouldn't complain if I got those in the mail, (I'm not a brickmaster) but it's not very exclusive. The models are eh and the figures are widespreadly available, in cheap sets, no less. But I suppose I shouldn't complain, considering that means nothing is getting withheld from me. If I had a brickmaster thingy, I would be frustrated I didn't get really good exclusive sets.

Ooooooooh, I like the Pirate Brickmaster set! I might actually join Brickmaster. I'm looking forward to the Lego Book. :sweet:

Well the sets look nice, but there's nothing really special about them; no exclusive parts or minifigs so I don't mind missing them (as I don't have brickmaster). I may still try to build the pirate one with my own pieces, the little steamboat is really cute.

Awesome! I still have my old LEGO book, though the back is torn...

I'll definitely buy this.

Oooh~ I think I see the unreleased Skeleton Chariot.

I noticed that as well. Looks like a neat set.

These books look pretty good. Are the Pirate and Castle books supposed to come with bricks? I couldn't make out the descriptions to clearly. Aren't DK also bringing out a LEGO Star wars book later this year too?

Where are we going to get them?

Online only or regular retail?

This is what I would like to know. The look so good.

Indeed, the pirate set remind me the official cannon battle set, but the boat with the waterwheel seems to be sweet !

The castle set have some interesting pieces.

As Peppermint_M asked, where are they available ?

So is the minifig book going to cover all the minifigs ever?

I've been looking for something like that.

These look very nice. The book about minifigs intrigues me especially, even though I still have the old Lego book. The Brickmaster books aren't bad either, but nothing too special. The pirate one is nice though. I don't think that these two books have anything to do with the Brickmaster subscription as these scans are from a New Zealand catalog, and Brickmaster is only available in the US. Therefore, I think they just call them that for marketing reasons.

I'm looking forward to a review of these!

Looks really good  and out of those two I think the Pirates one is better.

But what is that thing the pirate Brick master? I think its a ship but I'm not really sure
