Posted March 11, 200916 yr Ultra Violet (MOCpages) Please follow for more views and larger images. Well, I went into my loft after tea to tidy up a bit, sort some parts and make everything look a bit neater.... But then I noticed all that lovely purple and an idea that had been forming all day sprang to the front of my mind. So I built this and made more mess . (this is the full text from the MOCpage) Ultra Violet The personal light speed space transport. With Slip Drive™ , retro rockets and atmosphere jets all combined in dual omnitech© booster pods this is the smallest craft capable of taking you from Apollo to Sol that still allows planet side landing and in-system travel. In stylish purple with yellow, black and gray detailing you can tear up the void in style! Similar to Sproket’s Superior Airbike but in a more SF styling, I again used a motorcycle chassis and lots of clips, pegs and a very gentle touch to create Ultra Violet. The chassis is from a Batman set, the bulk of the purple from the Exo Force Dark Panther and some random parts that I can’t assign to a set. The minifig is a custom, using a modified Life on Mars torso, Knight’s Kingdom II legs, a respirator helmet and a cut down KKII armour element. The background is from the Terran Trade Association Handbook, Spacecraft 2000 to 2100. I wanted to try something new and different to plain white paper. (end of page quote) It is a delicate MOC as it all hinges on one of these clipped to the chassis and one of these clipped to that. I used this technique in an earlier MOC. Well, I'm pleased with it, what do you think?
March 11, 200916 yr I think it looks very nice. I'm glad to see someone using purple in a moc, and its hard since there is a limited amount of parts. Great job.
March 11, 200916 yr Author Thanks, I was somewhat limited in what I could do with such a small MOC and part selection. I love purple, it being my favourite colour, and the only reason I bought one of those odd "action figure" knights kingdom sets. The Dark Panther was a welcome addition to my collection.
March 12, 200916 yr First I was a bit disappointed as i misread the title But your MOC is really nice. Purple looks indeed great. We could use more of this color.
March 12, 200915 yr Looks like a great little spacecraft. Could be great for customizing this if your a minifig
March 12, 200915 yr A very original and fine design with a good use of that exhaust and spike pieces. The color scheme works also great. Nice Terran Trade Authority background too. Ah, the Hornet... a very cool spacefigther. BTW, the Interstellar Queen reminds me a lot of the Serenity from Firefly...
March 13, 200915 yr but RangerBob, the question is, what did you misread it as? I am pretty sure you were talking about the movie. Great MOC as always pepper I love the fact that you used purple it is such a rare color that it is only once in a very long time that I see it used in a MOC infact I can only think of 3 sets that have that color I hope to see more like this! ~Computerbug
March 13, 200915 yr Author Ultra Violent... Hmmm, I can understand a mix up with the film, but Lego Ultra Violence would end up looking rather comical... Back on topic, I have plans for several more "Cosmic Cycles" and a station for their pilots to hang out in I just need to get a few of the classic cycles and some more chassis...
March 13, 200915 yr A spacebiker saloon... yeah! Where all the cool petrol, um, omnitech heads hang out... (classic) Ace Cafe style...
March 13, 200915 yr I love this. The purple really looks great to me in all the MOCs I see it in (which is generally very few.) I didn't realize that large motorcycle fairing piece came in purple. --- looking on BrickLink --- Okay, Batman set. Very cool piece to have! Looks great in this MOC.
March 13, 200915 yr Author It was the only Batman set I bought. On the strength of classic grey and black Batman, newish style Catwoman and a purple motorcycle The Space Biker saloon is going to be a station on an asteroid, its going to look very cool. I have been building up a list of parts on bricklink so soon I may splurge and buy all the bits.
March 16, 200915 yr Author Well, on Saturday and Sunday I built two more space cycles and uploaded them to MOCpages. Unfortunately my laptop decided to break and essentialy all I managed to do before it crashed (about twelve minutes afer re-boot each time) was load the pictures to the computer, then load them to MOCpages. They have no discription as such (typing sped up the time between boot and crash) so here are my two other space cycles that do have a fantastic write up (on a sheet of paper in my notepad...) Amber Charge and Gold Ray Enjoy. I hope to get my laptop fixed soon (spent Sunday trying lot's of things, all i managed to do was muck up firefox, losing all my favoutires and my theme) and be back replying regularly. (logged in from Uni at the moment )
March 16, 200915 yr Cool new Cycles. I realy like Amber Charge's color scheme. Gold Ray is also build nicely, but I don't like the mix gold and white. I think the white doesn't accentuate the gold color. I would prefer black instead. Good luck with your laptop
March 16, 200915 yr A very neat work. Both space cycles look original and varied, and I like especially the a little more beefy Gold Ray. These control sticks of your Amber Charge (cool name) remind me a bit too much of some gym machine, though. Very nice backgrounds, again.
March 16, 200915 yr Author Thanks all. Right now I am testing my laptop too see if it will freeze again, hopefully I will find the solution and be back with the full write up on those MOCs The Gold Ray is white and gold due to my persistant friend demanding such a colour scheme... I might change it into a "custom" (in that universe) version in different colours. (I just wish I knew how to get my Firefox browser back how I liked it)
March 16, 200915 yr Purple is very hard to work with seeing as there are limited pieces. So good job! Keep it up! BTW. I like the name too. It fits it nicely. Edited March 16, 200915 yr by Spyder
March 20, 200915 yr Author My laptop is all fixed. There were many problems that a local computer shop fixed and now I am back, getting all my stuff sorted (the only solution was a full system restore, so i am trying to get firefox to remember all my info I need it to again) so wo0t. New discriptions and MOCs will be sorted by Saturday.
March 20, 200915 yr Yummeh, dark purple is my favorite color. And that cycle looks very nice! I don't think I've ever used my purple motorcycle chassis, you make it look like a peice worth having. EDIT: I just saw the other two, the white and gold one is my favorite. The smaller orange one doesn't look as good as the large, IMHO. Edited March 20, 200915 yr by kill will
March 21, 200915 yr Author Full write ups are now live on my MOCpages for both the Gold Ray and the Amber Charge. These explain some of the features and capabilities of the cosmic cycles.

March 22, 200915 yr Author Why thank you. I really love to work with purple, even when I only had three or four elements.
