He's not interested in repeating the past, he only wants to record new material. As his previous efforts didn't get a huge response in their thread, its unlikely we'll hear anything from him in the near future.

I'm resurecting this year old thread because

A. It's fairly interesting and derserves more votes.

B. Does anyone else see an E-mail tab were the poster's text is supposed too be, primarily in Norro's posts?

So, for me it was close between Imperial Armada and Imperial guards, but I decided to choose the later.

It's difficult to chose beween the Imperial Soldiers and Imperial Guards.

The Imperial Soldiers are the most classic since they were first released by Lego.

I had seen some pictures is a lego catalogue when they were not yet available in the shops and fell in love immediatly.

But since I have more Imperial Soldiers than Imperial Guards, the Guards are higher on my wanted list.

So I voted for the Imperial Guards.

I mentioned in another thread that this problem happens in Firefox, but not in IE (only two browsers I use, and I still only rarely use IE). I don't know why the problem seems to usually happen with Norro's posts, although on the first page of this thread there's big problem with several posts.

As for the poll: the color combination of the Imperial Guards always looked better to me than the Imperial Soldiers.

Ah, good work Governer, everything is normal in IE and I noticed the disgruntled formatting on the first page to but I was too lazy do describe it becuase it was so disgruntled. I think Norro's posts are most messed up just because they are the every-other posts.

(Yes the Imperial Guards redeeming their rightful position! :-))

I wonder which one of these 2 are most popular: pi062.gif or pi071.gif

I think the one with the blue epaulettes looks good but I don't think this is authentic for the British?

So I prefer the yellow epaulletes and I have given all my Imperial Guards yellow epaulettes.

This problem tends to occur in posts that were made when Eurobricks was using version 1.x of the Invasion Powerboard. There seems to be some errors created when they were converted to version 2.

Fortunately, I use Firefox so I can see exactly which posts are causing the problem and all I need to do is hit the "Edit" button then "Submit Modified Post" without actually fixing anything and the problem is solved. Well at least on my end.

Yes, I noticed it only happened in the older topics, but I fogot to say that in my last post. |-/

Yes, the yellow epaulettes are more accurate but I perfer the blue because when epaulettes and heads of the same color are put together it looks weird.

Thanks Phes, it's all perfect for me now. :pirate3: Any idea why it was mainly Norro's posts that were causing problems?

Three more votes for Imperial Guards since my last post. icon_eek.gif

That guard with yellow epaulettes doesn't come in any sets, like the note on its catalog entry on BL says (it was actually added after I brought it up in the BL forums).

That minifig looks too yellow for my tastes.

Well that Norro is a notorious trouble maker and he's trying to find a way to destroy us all! X-D

Seriously - no idea...

Imperial guards.

Reasons: the ITP is one of the best lego pirate sets...undoubtely is the best imperial set

Imperial Flagship had much better design than Caribbean clipper...Caribbean clipper wasweird with the scale of the mast inside the ship....and of couse....Imperial flagship is much better than Armada flagship!

I prefer the Redcoats as it demonstrates the British army and their dominance of the Caribbean waters of the 17th and 18th century. However the blue coated soldiers represent France or the British Navy? I could never work that all. Also as for the allied ships, the pirate ships always were bigger and more powerful than any of the imperial Lego sets produced. Which proved to be unfairly matched. However does a faction of the red pirates represent Britain in a slight way? As our country were known for producing many privateers.

I have always loved the blue coats over the red coats and the Spanish...

The blue coats were the first to be released and I never really got over them being changed later on with the red coat guys...
