brickzone Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 (edited) NOT MY MOC! Another MoC added to the Medieval village - this time an Alchemist's designed and built jointly by my Mum and younger brother (Talin Agasan) from my Mum's lego collection. View of the whole village (spot the new addition?) It's the yellow and black house. Front: Side and back: Opened out front and back: Close-up of front and the hinging side: Inside (makes my own interiors look spartan!). I didn't spot the unseated alchemist upstairs until the close-ups - oops! One of the alchemists at work. *Lots* more potions, a fireplace, chest, more tools (how on earth it all fits in I don't know!) A preparation table with rather a lot of beasties, books, herbs and potions, as well as some apparatus. Even the obligatory skull! The other alchemist at work. The double doors lead to the balcony (the door to the stairs is to the left) A bed, small fireplace, table, more beasties (dead I think - there's a black kitten hanging from the ceiling), even more books and potions on a dresser! Just to repeat, this isn't my MOC, I just did the photography and provided the village setting! I have unfortunately run out of black slopes myself for further MM-style buildings - so just the apothecary, bakery and church for now. I'm considering dismantling the church though as I'm not entirely happy with it. Edited March 15, 2009 by brickzone Quote
General Armendariz Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 (edited) Wow that yellow house is great How does that witch fit all that potions with out dropping at least 5 of 'em a day? A fine touch to the village . Edited March 14, 2009 by Genaral armendariz Quote
CommanderCody77 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 (edited) Wow! The house looks great I really like the color scheme. Also are you going to add more to the Medieval Village? Edited March 15, 2009 by CommanderCody77 Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Brilliant. I love the way you crammed in so many details. You village is really shaping up! What are you going to make next? Maybe you should make a arena or a range. Quote
BlueBard Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 That's becoming larger and larger! Nice MOC and brilliant interior! Quote
Asuka Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 A distinct looking house with a well detailed and nice interior. I like especially that interesting window arrangement of the ground floor, the balcony with the columns and that protruding corner section. Quote
Talin Agasan Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 (edited) Thanks for all the encouraging comments! Just to note again, this isn't brickzone's MOC, but mine (*trying not to sound megalomaniacal*). Also, the minifig making potions is not a witch. Hence the title: Alchemist's House (or more correctly "Lab", not house). Although, I grant that she might have a hard time convincing the other villagers of that... ("Burn her! She turned me into a newt! ... I got better...") She probably does drop the potions frequently (I know I did) - see the luminous green goo on the floor. That's probably why the man upstairs looks like he has a permanent scowl. My next project will probably be to finish redesigning a white imperial-looking ship that's been half built for months. I hope to also put up some pictures of a semi-gothic castle facade (built shortly after my dark ages ) which fits this theme, though probably not part of the village itself. - edit: That semi-gothic facade can now be found with some beautiful blurry pictures at this topic.
