Errorist Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Amazing work ISC! You've managed to capture the feel of a shipwreck perfectly. It has been said many times before but I'll say it again. The organ looks beautiful Oh, and Davy Jones looks great. Greetings, Errorist Quote
puriri Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Wow this is a great MOC! I really like: The sea anemones. I've never seen a LEGO sea anemone before. The organ. The keys are pretty neat and I like the unevenness of the pipes. The ship really awesome broken feel. Good purist Davy. Barrels. Could improve (Not much): The black section in the bottom deck. Is there a way for it to be brown? The heart is a little weird, and big. Maybe just one red round 1x1? Needs more see weed. Awesome job! Puriri de Vry Quote
I Scream Clone Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 Thanks to you all for the lovely comments. I even managed to make it on Brothers Brick blog. Awesome! Quote
badboytje88 Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 I can't spot the organ? Were/what is it? Quote
Erdbeereis Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 I can't spot the organ? Were/what is it? The thing on the right side of the middle deck, that looks like a piano with pipes coming out. Quote
jonwil Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 NICE MOC. The organ in particular is GREAT. I am also building an organ, although mine is a fairground organ for the amusement park on the next club train layout. Quote
prateek Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 (edited) i like the slanted planks on the side to make it look like a bow i also like the kitfisto head and the organ, although the keys look a little to thick Edited March 19, 2009 by prateek Quote

Cool, looks like organs are the flavour of the month at the moment. Thanks. i like the slanted planks on the side to make it look like a bow i also like the kitfisto head and the organ, although the keys look a little to thick Cheers, I have to thank SlyOwl for the tip using the gears. They are a better alternative than the tiles I used earlier. Quote
General Armendariz Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 This ones my fav What I like 1. The sunken look to the ship 2. those barrels of rum! 3. That nice organ What could be improved 1. Add probably a shark floating around 2. Have one of those windows broken 3. The black parts on the bottom deck Overall I love it! Quote
kris kelvin Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 All I can say it`s just simply amazing work. The head is the best what lego can offer, and the rest looks fantastic :pir-skull: Quote
Dan Church Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Very nice! I've actually used that barrel design in one of my MOCs before. Great MOC! Quote
Paul cantu Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 This is over the top in talent! There are so many great details. You deserve to WIN! Great work! Quote

Ratshot Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I never had a chance to comment so hear goes. WHAT I LIKE short but simple everything. IMPROVEMENTS 1.Maybe tiling the decks and the floor of the ocean. 2.How about a bench for the organ. Good Job and Good Luck Quote
Dr. Steve Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Great MOC! It looks so real!. I like the use of the half barrels put together Quote
Bricks Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 That's awesome! These is really one of the best entries so far. I really love these piano keys... Oh and nice way how you made the 'Davy Jones'! So good luck in the contest. 'Bricks' Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 (edited) Amazing Creation ISC I love it how you used Kit fisto's head for davy Jones. Very well done! Sorry if im ressurecting this topic.... CommanderFox Edited November 4, 2009 by CommanderFox Quote
Big Cam Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 As stated Fisto's head was a great idea. I really like the organ and the entire room for that matter. The walls look good since they are not flat, and it looks like the actual inside of a ship. The underneith area is fun too, you gotta show the force of Davey Jones locker! Great job! Quote
Swash Buckler Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Very nice work with details and all i like all those little ideas but It is Kit Fisto not Davy Jones they both have tentacles though but that is not enough i think i cannot see Davy anywhere just a jedi Kit lost in the odd place Quote
I Scream Clone Posted November 5, 2009 Author Posted November 5, 2009 Thank you guys for dropping back into what is one of my favourite MOC's. Glad you liked someof the techniques. Swash Buckler, I used the Kit Fisto head as there is no other option other than to make a sculpey type head mold for Davy Jones, which I neither have the time or resources to manufacture, and in light of this, I feel that Kit Fisto is the best Lego option available for Davy. I like the whole moc still you are one of my favorites on mocpages - still i don't agree what comes to this Kit/Davy thing - If you want to use purist Jones with no custom molds or decals then I prefer technique used by the Sebeus for example (just a gray beard with mummy/skeleton head) Kit fisto don't even have a beard and his tentacles look as much hair as lego beard looks (it actually looks a strange tentacle beard a bit) Quote
