medieval_total_lego Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 HELLO, I want to make a bell, but i don't know how...please help me and post your bell here! thanks Marco Quote
74louloute Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Hey! Look at this entry of Pillage the Village Contest. Exotrator made a great bell in his entry. As it's not mine, maybe ask to him if you could use it. Quote
medieval_total_lego Posted March 16, 2009 Author Posted March 16, 2009 this is a fantastic bell!!! but which pieces are involved??? thanks for posting it Quote
Shadows Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Exotrator made a great bell in his entry. You're right, that is a great bell! but which pieces are involved??? Looking at it, I'd say the bottom is a yellow dish (utensil type, not radar) turned upside down. The body of the bell is a round 2 x 2 x 1 2/3 with dome top. Holding those together, it looks right. + + magic = Bell In this case, the magic is required to attach those parts together. I have no idea how this is done as the dome doesn't have any attachment point inside and all the ones I have feature a top stud that you can't put a bar through. Perhaps the old ones are hollow studs, which would make it easy. Otherwise, I don't know. If you figure it out, let us know! Quote
74louloute Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 According to ImperialShadows, it seems to be these two pieces. I had them into my hands but I can't figure how this bell is done ! Quote
Saint Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I think the magic is this : Put a jumperbrick underneath and a trans-clear round on it. Just whisk the plate on there , make the rest of the bell and put it in place. I think that the 1x1 round piece presses up, while the bar holds it al in place from above.. Just an Idea ;) grtz Saint Quote
Zorro Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Must be like that, I see no other way. If I find the parts (which I own), I might end up making one bell myself. It is a great bell after all. Quote
Sir Dano Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 (edited) I discovered a minifig head will also work: Edited March 16, 2009 by Sir Dano Quote

SuvieD Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Great bell and teamwork on getting this building strat out in the open. Thanks everyone for all the effort to share. Quote
Athos Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 It'd be really nice if they made that dome piece in gold. Steve Quote
CommanderCody77 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Looks great Sir Dano! Where did you get the gold piece Quote
Sir Dano Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Where did you get the gold piece? I got it in the Castle Advent Calendar. Quote
diabloiij Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 good job with the transparent bell illustration. thank you. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 This is very interesting! Nice job on showing us! A golden dish is also in the Medieval Market Village. A silver belville bucket is a nice bell too. Hope this might help. Quote
Millacol88 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Thats a very innovative idea. I never would have been able to figure that out by just looking at it. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Great work on the instruction Dano, very enlightening! Quote
