With the Recent end of the first season, I felt that this deserved it's own topic. If not, will somebody please delete or merge this topic?

Personally, I am torn between "Rookies" and "Cloak of Darkness", but there were many great episodes.

So what do you think?

I voted episode 10, the lair of greavous because it was a real dark and dramatic episode with great characters. I also liked seeing general greavous's legs being hacked off.

Hidden Enemy was best, while Rookies was second. Two very good episodes that focused on the clones and their personalities. We need more episodes like that. Don't concentrate so much on the Jedi and Sith, we have the movies for that.

Agreed, we already know that Jedi are omnipotent and good, while Sith are evil.

My favorite episode was Hostage Crisis, because I forgot all the others.

I voted Lair of Grievous for these reasons:

  • It's an episode that pits my favorite SW villain against my third favorite Jedi! :cry_happy: (the other two favorites being Windu and Kenobi of course)
  • Unlike other episodes, it is well paced and has a darker, more serious tone.
  • This ep focuses a lot on Grievous and reveals quite a bit about him and his past. It shows his home and his pet and explores his psyche a little.
  • It has some of the best fight scenes of the first season!
  • This is the only episode where Grievous kills a jedi (something he should be doing a lot)!
  • The only downside of this ep is the fact that Grievous looses yet again. But seeing as the only other option would be him killing Kit Fisto, I actually prefer it this way.
  • Mace Windu makes a cameo appearance and the episode ends with another wise Yoda phrase!

Hostage Crisis was also my favorite because I forgot all the others too.

I also liked it because it's the only season 1 episode with Cad Bane in it.

I voted for Lair of Grievous for most of the reasons already expressed by Oky Wan Kenobi.

The only differences are that Kit Fisto is my favourite Jedi and that I see the episode as more of a Republic loss than a CIS loss. Nahadar was killed as well as all of his clones, whereas Grievous only lost Gor and A-4D.

I see the episode as more of a Republic loss than a CIS loss.

I didn't say it was a pure CIS loss, I just said it was a loss for Grievous as he lost the only two persons that he ever cared about (besides himself) and failed to pass Dooku's test. Of course it was more of a Republic loss (which is another good thing about the episode), but it was quite a bit of a loss for Grievous (as a person, not a faction) as well.

I did feel some remorse when he lost his two 'friends' I dont think there is any winning involved, just (un)fortunate events on both sides.

Definitely, Defenders of Peace.

It may not be very action-filled (which is in fact a good point, for me), but it, unlike most episodes, has some very deep and philosophical ideas there. Even a hint to a heretical thought, that the Republic is not always right, that there are planets that do not wish to be "in a happy republican family", planets that have other values and moral principles, that is not shared by all races....

Still it's not perfect, I mean they could have given some CIS point of view on the problem, instead of making "meanies" of them again. But the presence of Lok Durd compensates it all. )

Good day, gentlemen! ) :sweet:

I voted for Jedi Crash, because in my opinion, it was one of the better ones. The reasons following apply:

- It had Aalya Secura, thats enough for one reason

- It showed that not everyone liked the Jedi or the Republic (That weren't Seperatists)

- The Anti-War views that the Lurmen showed

- Featured my favorite Clone Commander, Bly

I'm sure that there is more, but my second favorite would have to be Defenders of Peace, followed by in third place, Rookies.

What?!?! Actually let the CIS win a battle! What thoughts are these? If the CIS was this bad, then the war would have lasted 2 months, not 3 years.

*raising my eyebrow*

Pardon, but I don't quite understand how does that correlate with my post.....

Urg. I still havent seen the hostage one yet. But my favorite would have to be the third ryloth one. The clones in that episode are awsome plus all the twileks. My nest favorite would of been the tresspass one. The snow clones looked odd but very interesting. Does anyone know when season 2 airs?

From the clone war thread

The Clone Wars- Episode 109: Cloak of Darkness

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME.

My favourite episode so far, it has ventress :D a A separatist victory some very shocking deaths, which shows this isn't actually a kids show. several lightsaber duels, Ahsoka having a bit of Anakin's personality. Gree, Luminara, spike from buffy and written by Paul Dini.

I voted for...*drum roll*...HOSTAGE CRISIS!

Because...

...it had the best action scenes (sniper...)

...it contained a ruthless bounty-hunter (Cad Bane)

...and you've seen the first kiss in 'The Clone Wars' between 'Padme' and 'Anakin'
