VBBN Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 As Quoted from BZP: Toys "R" Us is currently having a promotion on all things LEGO. With every purchase of $30 or more, you will receive a free 221 piece tub of LEGO Bricks. No word on when this will end though Discuss! I must head out ASAP.
Oky Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Does this really deserve its own topic? For those who want to know, this is the tub that you get: Not very exciting IMO. But hey, it's still free Lego! The offer is valid for the US. Don't know about any other countries.
DarthSion Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Hay its not bad, could use for parts, or its one less Birthday or Christmas gift for a young child you know.
mania3 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Yeah, it might more or less make up for the tremendous TRU markup.
drdavewatford Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Doesn't look like we're being blessed with this in the UK - I picked up a couple of sets at TRU on Saturday and didn't get anything free. :-( Prices were interesting though - the 2 sets I bought (Anakin's starfighter and Hailfire droid) were pretty much at the same price as Lego S@H (and therefore cheaper as no postage to pay), but a couple of the sets, e.g. Indiana Jones Peril in Peru, were subject to a massive mark up - around 30%. I'll never understand these pricing policies. Meanwhile "The Entertainer" in the UK is having a "Big Easter Sale", but only online. This means that their prices are about the same as Lego S@H now (!) with the exception of the AT-TE which at 60 pounds sterling is 8-9 pounds cheaper than Lego S@H. So if you're in the UK and looking for the AT-TE then I suggest you take a look. Dr. D.
