Vader Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Its been suggested over and over again but most people want the ship because it was chrome, i would be very surprised if we got a chrome one from lego as it would cost a fortune to make. Quote
Yuppley Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Anyone remember that one with the mini Naboo Fighters a while ago? That everyone thought was real? And it cost him ssoooooooo much money? LOL :-D Quote

And TLG is listening more to what we want so...I'd say it's a POSSIBILITY. Besides, we don't have any blue clones yet ;) Quote
DarthBrick429 Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I would like to see a hoth collection: 1. Echo Base :oD 2. Wumpa Attack 3. Re-Release AT-AT 4. AT-ST (Not the Endor Version) 5. Probot 6. Taun Tauns Quote
Supreme Oompa Loompa Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Life Size "Dance With Me" General Grievous Technic set I know it would cost a crapload but it'd be awesome...I'd buy ten Quote
The Middleman Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 The current attitude at LEGO is anti-playset (excluding ships such as the new ISD), so don't expect to see Hoth and such... Quote
Dino_Bot Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I'd love to see more Hoth sets, especially as i missed out on the Awesome AT-AT, they should reissue that. Kyle Katarn, Jan Ors and the Ravan's Claw would be good, cause Jedi Knight 2 rocks. Along with that Desann, Reborn Troops and Tavion from the game. Unfortunately i doubt TLC will ever release EU stuff as the appeal is limited to HARDCORE Star Wars fans. (Like Me) :-D Plus an AT-ST with a proper driver and good feet. LMAO ID WOULD LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVV TO SEE TAVION! I have the hots for Tavion. *wub* lmfao, she was completely nuts in Jedi Academy. Besides, we need more female Jedi...No...We NEED female Jedi. They gave us Luminara Unduli in a 40$ crappy set. I DID NOT like the Catamaran...it sucked big time. It was ugly and...The only good thing was the Clone Swamp Speeder. Quote
Vader Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Indeed its a known fact that lego dont like playsets but over the last few years they have given us a cloud city and a jabbas palace, these sets wernt the best if you ask me so if lego did decide to give us a jedi temple then i wouldnt expect much. Quote
Beagle Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 You know, I don't much like playsets either, so I'm glad to hear that Lego isn't fond of them. Since I display my Lego, the "play" features are just useless, silly and usually kind of annoying to me. But why must buildings/locations always be referred to as "playsets?" Why couldn't we just have, you know, an accurate model of a building? They do it with all the other Lego lines (Castle, Town, Pirate, etc.). Why can't we have an Endor Shield Generator Station that actually looks like the movie set? Or a better Jabba's Palace that actually has external walls? Or a Cantina... or a Skywalker Homestead.... or so many others? I would MUCH prefer those to "playsets." Quote
Dino_Bot Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I agree with the dog here. We need more playsets in that way. Besides, everything Lego does is playsets! even if its just one ship, its still a playset. What defines a playset? Many pieces and features. Its not necessarily one building style set. Or a castle with outer walls and everything, or even an Ion Cannon with minifigs inside. Naw, look at the V-Wing, that's a playset, the ARC 170, that's a playset. When people speak of a building or a center, or house, or fortress, it should be called "big building style playset" or something. Get my drift? Quote
Yuppley Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I'd say that a playset is like the cantina, or Jabba's palace, Because they try to develop the other things of the actual set, not like a building. A playset *could* be something like the Arc-170, because it drops the bombs, and has opening and closing wings, which will be used when a child is playing with the set. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 It seems that most Lego sets are designed to of course, be played with, but we can only class them as playsets if they have enough different features to keep children occupied. Such as the Cloud City or (i hate to say it) the Ultimate Lightsaber Duel. Quote
AgentA Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 I dont like the flesh tone figs so any set with flesh tones would not be bought by me. I think technic would be great for magna guards, greivous etc. .AA Quote
The Hordesman Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 (EU) Bossk Camp Rescue Includes a speeder, two prison cages, two huts and a small command center. Figs included are: Han Solo, Chewbacca, 6 Wookies, 4 Bossks and 1 Bossk leader. For all your alien massing needs... Quote
HJR-Holland Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I'm afraid that most of you don't keep into consideration that LEGO is FOR KIDS. I don't think l'il 7 year old Johnny average is going to jump for joy for a Jedi counsil set, a rebel headquarter set or 501st attack set... Vehicles and REAL playsets, that's what the game is all about. I think the 10123 Bespin playset was a good example of what LEGO could do with a playset, it was just a pity that the set was so expensive... Quote
Morten Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Thats right that LEGO is for kids. I just remember when i was a kid, how i tried to make good Hoth scenes with white foam tec. for my Hasbroes figures. I think a hoth scene would be loved by both kids an AFOLs. I just think it is so easy for them, just to keep making different versions of the same air-craft, thats a bad solution from LEGO. And yes, cloud city was a good play-set. Hope so te something like that with Death star ect. Morten Quote

mutley777 Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 i think lego could really clean up with a death star playset in a modular design. have a few key locations in the main set then do 2 or 3 smaller modules that could be attached anywhere. then for the real fans they could buy 3 or 4 main sets and loads of the smaller sets an create a huge death star. great minifigs would be the icing on the cake. Quote
HJR-Holland Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 There's a new LEGO videogame coming out; great moment to make a limited edition box set with a videogame and an exclusive set (Obi-Wan's blue Jedi starfighter perhaps? Or Anakins green 'n white one?) The parts are there, the figs are there, the molds are there; they only need to invest in some different coloured granulates... Quote
