March 31, 200915 yr Well, gentlemen, I did not participate in this. Not that i don't want our planet to become cleaner, healthier, etc. But such actions won't just work. I back Sinner's point that, in fact, turning on and of the lights may use even more energy that it may save. That's one point. And another point is: let's calculate all this money, spent on the campaign. I guess, it would have been much wiser to spent it on real enviromental projects or solve some social problems. March 31, 200915 yr Author Wrong, the Mythbusters busted this one. In order to consume more electricity by shutting the lights on and off you'd have to leave the lights off for a few milliseconds... thats what the mythbusters are for
