Posted March 29, 200915 yr Direct from Brickfest, some neat new prototypes from BrickArms that represent some very cool future accessories. Probably the most exciting bit of new: Will has taken Ol' Painless out of the bag! PPSh with removable magazines: Flame Gun: BuzzGun: P08 Luger: Buildable Ammo Chain BAR More pics and info here As exciting as these new prototypes are, what's even more fun: BrickArms will soon be updating their site with bunches of new accessories in several different colors. Watch this forum for updates!
March 29, 200915 yr I like the top one the most cause it looks like the one from star wars the clone wars. You tell in a star wars fan aslo I can't wait to buy that and the luger cause I like German guns to and when will these be out??
March 29, 200915 yr Oh my gosh, I LOVE IT! sorry. But those are all great models, plus that ammo chain is just beautiful. jifel
March 29, 200915 yr I love those. A lancer from gears of war. Looks sweet. So do all the other weapons. Good work like always.
March 29, 200915 yr Thanks for sharing! I really love them.. . ...my favourites are the first and the third one, they are awesome. I will buy these weapons soon! 'Bricks'
March 29, 200915 yr Author Glad to hear you guys like them! I've been hounding Will about a minigun for years now, and now that I have it in hand, I can't overstate how darn excited I am! when will these be out?? Hard to say exactly, but Will isn't calling the latest wave of BrickArms accessories First Wave 2009 without good reason!
March 29, 200915 yr Wow, truly some sweet weapons there, what a pleasant surprise! I look forward to taking a good look at them, there is a lot to see. This new version of the ammo chain is very interesting, I wonder whether the U-clips will be produced in the goldish colour as well to help blend in? The black looks a little odd to me. I'm also looking forward to these new colours! Thanks for sharing Badger, you're awesome.
March 29, 200915 yr P08 Luger: (Screams like little girl) I love these new prototypes!!! Badger, do you know if this WWII German fig will be available to buy from Brickarms? I'm really, really, hoping it will be. If not, can you suggest it to them? EDIT: Yes! I just checked, and he is available! Edited March 29, 200915 yr by booger540
March 29, 200915 yr Finally we can begin the OstFront! I have plans for Stalingrad...All we need now is a Mosin Nagant or DP-27 (Could use Lewis Gun...) I could also use the Minigun for some Post-Apoc mocs, Shame about the Gun belt (No offence), Just looks a bit to, Bulky, with those clip pieces clipping the clips ( ) together... I thought it would be all bullets together in a flexible strip.
March 29, 200915 yr Author Thanks for sharing Badger, you're awesome. Naa, I just a camera and a Flick account. It's Will Chapman that deserves any and all accolades about these! I might have been a passionate advocate for a few (the Minigun has been on my "dream list" for years now!), but it's his design skill that gives them life and makes them work so well. Shame about the Gun belt (No offence), Just looks a bit to, Bulky, with those clip pieces clipping the clips ( ) together... Admittedly, the rounds of the Buildable Ammo Chain are slightly oversized for their weapons, but in the caricature-based minifig accessory aesthetic, I think they work well, especially for the larger Minigun. There's also the issue that once you make an accessory too small, even if it's in perfect scale, it becomes impossible to build with. That said, while I've used black BrickArms U-Clips to connect the Ammo Chain links, you could use gold colored ones that would blend more seamless with the links.
March 30, 200915 yr i really like the minigun, the buzzgun, the PPsh, the BAR, and the ammo clip. i cant wait to get these weapons. i saw the pictures of the weapon packs on will's blog but i didnt see the mega weapons pack. ps how much is the mega weapons pack gonna be? March 30, 200915 yr Keep this up and I'll have to start making some Call of Duty 5 MOCs. More awesome weapons, can't wait for their release! ~Peace
March 30, 200915 yr Where can I buy this meanmachine gun? I WANT IT. I bet 1 minifig can face a whole battledroid army with this new gun .
March 30, 200915 yr Wow. That minigun is the best, followed by the PPSh! Thanks for sharing. Greetings, JD Edited March 30, 200915 yr by Jammiedodger714
March 30, 200915 yr Wow, well done on this current crop of weapons! I'm especially glad to see a luger. I have a feeling folks have been asking for one of those for a long time. The PPSh and BAR are especially nice also, the WWII crowd will be especially happy with this round.
March 30, 200915 yr These products ore even better than Brickforge's new products! I see that Brickarms comes out with all these new products, but when do they come out??? LegoKing
March 30, 200915 yr A Lancer. Hmm, I didn't see that one coming. I must say Hazel's is more detailed... And I'm confused about the flame gun. It looks weird.
March 30, 200915 yr Author I see that Brickarms comes out with all these new products, but when do they come out??? A point of clarification here: while the Minigun (and many of these other great accessories) will be mass produced, the next wave of BrickArms accessories that will be added to the BA line-up when the site updates next week will not include any of these items. After all, Will's only just prototyped them! Many of the designs still need work (some more than others). That said, there's a reason Will is calling the new batch of BA items "First Wave 2009"
March 30, 200915 yr Wow, lovely minigun, and that ammo belt is excellent! (now if only there was an MG3 (or at least an MG42, it's similar enough) to connect it to, then I'd be in heaven ) (and now I read "and upcoming MG42" over at the Brickarms forums, so now I'm just eagerly waiting for it )
March 31, 200915 yr If I wasn't so busy trying to collect the older pirate sets i would buy at least 10 of the Lugers, and maybe a couple of those Bar's. Edited March 31, 200915 yr by Broadside
