ProducePrincess Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 (edited) Kids used to bug me because i play / build with lego but now that im in middle school most of them have stopped and actually encourage my lego addiction . usually kids will use anything to tease you if you're one of the least popular kids in the class .If kids like you they will stop bugging you , this is how it went with me in elementary school (some of those little dorks still bug me about it) Its pretty much the same thing as being the fat kid in class(witch i was) . i'm loud and proud now , well not to loud . Erdbeereis Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 No one I associate with has any problem with my LEGO hobby. My family really likes it, and they even help me with MOCs sometimes. My little brother loves LEGO as well, and I always have fun building with him. My family and I always have fun at Christmas putting up our LEGO train around the tree together, sort of our tradition. They think that LEGO is a great hobby to have, because it's good for your head in a way, figuring out ways to build different things. My writing and typing have also improved since I started writing reviews and such. 2 of my cousins like LEGO as well (although not to the same extent as me. ) and they always enjoy coming to my house to build together and look at my MOCs and sets. I'm homeschooled, so I haven't had much exposure to other people not liking other's hobbies, but none of my friends think it's bad at all. They don't really care one way or the other I think. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 (edited) Martinsuper's story is very interesting to read, so nice... It's so cool if people's dreams come out. Erdbeereis's brother loves LEGO too, I wish I had such a brother. My brother is gaming, gaming and gaming.... Just as Erdbeereis, my English language has improved a lot since I'm posting at EB, I got very high marks at school on English suddenly... I'm still a kid but not with an adult's budget so I have to watch my pennies. I have a job but I know I need a lot of money in the future, so I'm not spending everything to LEGO. When I have passed my exams (coast and sea management) I (hope) to earn some good money, to buy LEGO! Edited April 10, 2009 by Cap'n Blackmoor Quote
