Hobbes Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I brought me some of this from my holiday. Unfortunately Mauritius is quite expensive, so I only got me one 250g whole beans for my Saeco at home (tastes surprisingly good) and one 250g grinded for my espresso machine at work. "My" coffee was processed on Oct 10 - can't get it any fresher :) Quote
Norro Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Sorry, Pepsi fuels my building sprees... and creativity of course. God Bless, Nathan Quote
MattZitron Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I megablockin love coffee, but its murder on my stomach. I just got a load of Fair Trade stuff, I've decided it I'm gonna have what I like; it might as well be with a clear concience. Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I peck at coffee. I have a big, giant can of generic, crappy coffee from Walmart that I've been drinking oooooh for about 4 years now. It's down to the bottom of the can, so maybe I'll get a better brand / something flavored when it runs out. Sometimes, every few months, I just WANT it. So, I drink it a week or so then that's that for another few months. I've taken to dropping marshmellows in it and even adding a green tea paclet to the pot while it fills. I even had 2 free coupons for a big container of breast milk alternative for babies (an $11.49 value each!) and a few scoops made one YUMMY cup of coffee. (We don't even HAVE kids... but you know, it was free... not to mention the humor that you're drinking breast milk coffee.). :-D Quote
KimT Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Coffee it is! :oD Not a single day goes by without that black gold pumping through my veins. I drink around 8-10 cups a day (at least) and I get kinda scruffy until the good morning cup has been consumed ;) KimT And all you tree-huggin tea drinkers out there - beware! the day of the final showdown is drawing near! *twisted* Quote
Vader Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Im like matt i love the stuff but my body sure dosent still its worth it just to stay awake and finish my Moc's. :) Quote
Darkie Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I do enjoy coffee...when it's done right. Ah, I do love being from Seattle. And no, I am not referring to Starbucks...they burn their beans. Of course, they do train their barista's rather well, so they go off and open little stands EVERYWHERE and buy better beans. Thus making a better coffee drink. Usually I do a double-shot 12 ounce Mocha. I do that so rarely, and it reeeeaaaally produces an interesting effect. Quote
The Middleman Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 You all sound like druggies. :-P As you can tell, I'm not a coffee person. Quote
Hobbes Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 You all sound like druggies. :-P Well, "in the closest sense" it is an addictive drug. I, too, am grumpy in the morning (as I am right now) until I had my first cup - which is brewing a rough 2 meters away from me... *mmmmmmmh* the smeeeeeeeelllllll.... ;) Quote
snefroe Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 there's coffee? where? where? out of the way! where's the coffee?! Where is it?!! oh... it was just a question... damn! what do you guys think i'm doing right now, apart from posting, that is! like kim, 8-10 cups a day, can't live without it... think it's a bad thing for stomach and liver, but a good antidote for cancer, so it seems... Quote
Vader Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Im not addicted to coffiee i just enjoy it ;) Quote
Jipay Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Coffee ? MMhhh. I am just drinking loads of coffee during periods of hard work. Juts like Gibbs in ncis, I can barely start a day without caffeine, from a coffee or from a coca cola (yes, I do drink coke for breakfest). My fav coffee is the one coming from Mexico. So sweet :oD Quote
Vader Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Your not the only one who drinks cola for breakfast jipay, i just cant get enough of that stuff Quote
Jipay Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 That's good, I don't feel so lonely now. I always amazed the girls I know with my cola addiction. I find it refreshing to drink this in the morning, it gives me the impression it cleans my body :-D Quote
Hobbes Posted November 5, 2005 Author Posted November 5, 2005 I find it refreshing to drink this in the morning, it gives me the impression it cleans my body :-D It has to be ice-cold, though, so it "burns" down the throat. That I like, too :) Quote
xwingyoda Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Yes Hobbes, even if your topic says "besides Master Yoda..." I had to intervene on such an important subject !!! My Italien heritage made me a coffee junky !!!! However, I do not drink coffee in large cups, I only drink espresso (not ristretto, because I could drink ton of those) !!! The ultimate is the Nespresso system with capsules ;) put the capsule in, watch the thick foam pour into the tiny cup and smell that fantastic odor !!!!! Happiness is just a few seconds away *satis* Quote
Hobbes Posted November 5, 2005 Author Posted November 5, 2005 Yes Hobbes, even if your topic says "besides Master Yoda..." I had to intervene on such an important subject !!! I counted on you posting here ;) Quote

KimT Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I've turned into a complete junkie and tend to buy new and interesting coffe brewers. For now I've got an electric coffe mill, a vacuum brewer, a French Press Brewer and for when I'm in a hurry to stisfy my needs the plain and simple instant coffee. Yes this hurts my stomach, but once You've begun there's no turning back :oD KimT [drinking coffee as he writes] EDIT: IF FOLLOWING LINKS THEN CLICK ON THE RIGHT PICTURES FOR THE SANTOS MODEL VACUUM BREWER AND THE SAME FOR THE FRENCH PRESS Quote
