Ever since Lego went the cheaper route with packing all of the parts into a the box, I can't tell you how many times I haved got opened my sets to find the Stickers all bent and creased with the some of the stickers already starting to peel.

Would it not make more sense to have them placed into the instruction booklet to help prevent this?

I finally ordered the 8297 set from Lego shop at home and the sticker sheet had folds all through it and was basically ruined.

Yes. I totally agree. I got King's Castle Siege and half of the brick wall stickers had peeled off and stuck to the inside of the box. Ridiculous. Their quality control has got to remedy this soon.

I've gotten this problem many times too. In fact, the instruction book is often crumpled as well, especially if it's big and heavy. There is an obvious solution to this problem: put the instructions and stickers in a shrinkwrapped casing. This has been an issue ever since they changed the box packaging design in 2000, and I'm surprised they still haven't done anything about it.

This thread probably belongs in the general Lego forum though, as this issue affects every theme.

I have opened quite a number of sets recently mind you where the stickers are tucked safely into the instruction book, or even one instruction book tucked inside another as well as the stickers.

A better packaging solution is needed though.

It doesn't help many ordinary consumers who don't know about it - but Lego customer service does replace broken or missing parts - and as far as I know, this extends to stickers and instruction books. You can do this online on the Lego website.

Although it would be nice, I have never encountered the problem, and there really is no way to ensure they stay in there. Unless they stuck it on their with sticky stuff (like bionicle comics in the lego magazine.) It would be good, of course, but for lego to do that may be a waste.

And lego probably will send new sticker sheets, it wouldnt surprise me at all.

Also, perhaps this should go in lego news and general discusssion, as this applies to all Lego sets.

On the most part, yes. I have accidentally thrown out sticker sheets because they were in the folds of the box! They were hidden! That also appened with a plastic flag part from a troll castle set.

I think they occasionally do this, I bought a medical helicopter set a couple years ago and the sticker sheet was small and I couldn't find it and it turns out they had stuck it to the instructions, maybe because this one was so small that it could more easily slip through openings in the box. Anyway, I agree, putting them in the instructions might help prevent some cases of damage to stickers.

I once got a ruined sticker sheet for my 10200 as well!

I agree that TLC should somehow affix the sticker sheet to the instructions, or at least the box.

Even though I usually don't have the bad luck of getting bent and/or even peeled-off stickers, I do agree that it would be better if TLG would put them into the instruction booklet. After building a set, I always put the stickers that I didn't use into the instructions for safe keeping, and that has worked pretty good so far. But then again, in bigger sets, it sometimes happens that the instructions booklet was bent too (it happened in my MTT :hmpf_bad: ), so maybe it wouldn't make all that much of a difference. :sceptic: And, who knows, maybe there could be a mishap where the stickers end up peeling off inside the booklet. The results would be disastrous! *shudders*

And the most annoying thing of all, when the stickers get stuck to the instruction book and both are ruined!
That happened to my Turbo Car Chase :hmpf_bad:

I have usually benn lucky with stickers, but I think it would be better if they were safely packed. Still, Instructions sheet is sometimes in worst shape than the stickers sheet!
