Mirandir Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 (edited) Just got a mail from my contact on LEGO with this quote from their intranet: A brand‑new annual magazine appears today – together with a “progress report”.The Brick is a new magazine designed to offer a view of the LEGO Group from various angles. There are articles about designers, children of LEGO employees, and a handsome profit – plus articles on the global toy business, working conditions and climate experts. The Brick is intended for people outside the LEGO Group – consumers, suppliers, customers, job applicants – or the families of LEGO employees. Everyone is welcome to read it. You can download it as a pdf as well as order it in a printed version on their site. The magazine is available in english and danish language. Edited April 1, 2009 by Mirandir Quote
Etzel Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 That was a really cool magazine! Very well written and lots of interesting articles. I didn't read all of it now but I might continue tomorrow Thanks for the tip! Quote
jifel Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Look at the date... But wait! that article looks pretty realistic, unless Lego is trying to pull a fast one... jifel Quote

ILikePi Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I already sent an e-mail with my address on it. I hope that they're going to send one! Quote
DarthSion Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 One confirm if its real or another dumb April fools. Quote
Mirandir Posted April 2, 2009 Author Posted April 2, 2009 (edited) If it's is an April Fools gag it's gonna go down the recordbooks!! As if it is an april fools it's the most ambitious one I've ever seen. 92 pages of fake articles, in two languages even. And mabe my joke-radar is broken but from what I've had time to read so far there is none of the usual tipoffs of this being a fake magazine. Edited April 2, 2009 by Mirandir Quote
green dewback Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 On page 85 it says lego boxes get average 7% reduction. ONLY 7% I think we all know 30-50% of the box is wasted empty space. Quote
Front Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 My copy (Danish language) landed on my desk at work three days ago. Did not realize it came in English too, although I suspected it. Quote
Skipper 24 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Well I'm happy with the online version although I may order a printed copy for the record. Thanks for the link, it is proving to be quite a read. Quote
AFOL SF Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I saw this first on the S@H site. Requested a hardcopy - hopefully they can send me one. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Ooohh, how did I miss this. Just downloaded the PDF and ordered a paper copy. Seems very business-heavy, but this could be quite interesting. My bedtime reading for the next few nights. Quote
Eilif Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Just got my english copy in the mail! Very interesting reading. Lots of stuff about the business, toy buying habits around the world, lego education, standards, etc. Full Color glossy, very impressive. Quote

Hinckley Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Have we discussed this yet?: The Brick Magazine I did a search but, didn't find anything. Apologies if this has already been brought up? Quote
