benny Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 The SAYONARA JR 455 red (BAN-ETSU line) is Japanese train services This train had been stopped in use . I spent around one month to complete whole train with three cars!!!!!! The decal will be made later! I enjoyed to make this MOC! Quote
brickfreak99 Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Good job! It really bears a resemblance to the real thing. Can't wait to see it with the stickers! Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Good work, it looks much like the real thing. I do think it would look more awesome if the cars were longer, it also looks like the original has grey wheels, but no idea if that is an improvement. Quote
Talin Agasan Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 That's fantastic. It really looks just like the Japanese trains. And they look great! Are you aware that JR East are one of the few train companies that have experimented with using fuel cell technology (Polymer Electrolyte Membrane running on hydrogen, I think), in conjunction with secondary batteries charged by the brakes, of course. That would probably be a bit too difficult to emulate with Lego, though. Quote
Asuka Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 A very charming and detailed MOC, the color scheme works great! Quote

As i used up all of long grey train base plate, so i used the middle size plate and add 2 of 2x6 plates!!!! I still have some middle size plate at my home!!! For grey wheels, they are very expensive and lacked in HongKong!!! I will try my best to improve it !!! The decal was finished today! I will affix them later!!!! I like the dog logo so much! "Are you aware that JR East are one of the few train companies that have experimented with using fuel cell technology (Polymer Electrolyte Membrane running on hydrogen, I think), in conjunction with secondary batteries charged by the brakes".... sorry ! i don't know! Talin Agasan Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Wow! That train is just wow! JR East trains are the coolest ever. You have great attention to detail: the doors, windows, wipers, colours, stickers, and the use of robot parts on the roof. Yet another reason for me to start collecting trains: to attempt projects like that! Quote

Actually, the real train is longer! As i want to save the part and make it look cuite, i reduce its size!!!! However, it will be much better if i use 8X size to make this train! Quote
