keetongu Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 What's the worst thing eh?I can't say, well except when I accidentally dropped a rock on the old Gali's mask, I have alot of Gali masks though. It can't be something simple like falling of my dresser(Of course it happens alot.)or I threw it.I mean bionicle sets and creations. Darkness Falls Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Don't expect to get hot topics just because they're rip-offs of topics on BZP that made it big. Personally, I don't have a worst hit. Quote
ApophisV Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 :'( Look what happened to my beloved ATAT: :'( Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Gotta love that alternate model Apo...too bad it fell down *wacko* Quote
keetongu Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 Bad hit ApophisV on your ATAT, but I'm talking about bionicle creations and sets :$ . Quote
KimT Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Bad hit ApophisV on your ATAT, but I'm talking about bionicle creations and sets :$ . You are? Okeeeey - it dosen't say so anywhere. Check your first post |:| And does it really matter? I'd like to see what other "hits" there may be hiding out there and it doesn't have to be "plain" Bionicle. KimT Quote

JINZONINGEN73 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Yeah, it's the non-system forum, but no need to strictly confine it to non-system. This site's not swarming with 80 thousand 6-year olds, so discussing anything anywhere is still more than managable. ;) Dogs. Dogs are the GREAT destroyers of a good few of my Lego parts. I hate dogs. Oh, oh, but CATS aren't innocent either! http://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=139846 http://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=139849 Just LOOK at the poor bastard's rubber face! Cats LOVE the soft parts. Rubber elements the best. I lost about THREE spring-loaded projectile heads that way. And if I leave plastic tubing (ridged OR smooth) laying out in the open ...kiss it's butt goodbye. You'd think I'd have learned, after years of having Transformers and expensive diecast Japanese robot weapons getting nibbled. At least with Lego, you can Bricklink up a damaged part... not so easy when it's an ANTENNA off a $550 vintage Combattra Shogun Warrior from the 70's. Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 This is the first time I've been happy we don't have any pets ;) Quote

Nothing Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I don't have a hit on my Bionicles, but I once made this cool mecha and it fell off the dresser and died Quote
Dino_Bot Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 The ARC 170 fighter falling down the stairs. It...survived! Quote
xwingyoda Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Only walked on a set one morning !!! That stupid city hovercraft was just build the night before and I accidently (by pure laziness at 2am) left it near my bed and the next morning it encountered my not awoke feet !!!! That hurts !!! Quote
KimT Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 The worst hit I've had was dropping a moving cardboard box with most of my SW models in while moving. Unfortunately I dropped it on the stairs sending UCS Tie and UCS X-Wing, a few Ties, a Millenium Falcon, an Imperial Shuttle and an X-Wing flying in all directions *devil* *devil* It took me a little over an hour to pick all the pieces up and a few days to reconstruct the models. >:( KimT Quote
The Middleman Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 My model of Broughton was originally planned 112x64. I figured out I had to expand it to 144x64. When I figured that out, I had already built the substructure of the landscape, which interlocked the baseplates extremely firmly so it could be transported without breaking. For some inconceivable reason, I decided to just add in another pair of interconnected baseplates to the middle without connecting that substructure to the other middle one. Over time, I forgot about this error, and built the building in one piece on top of the two SEPARATE sections. Then we tried to transport it. The moment we picked it up, the baseplates started to upheave depending on how it was being held. The building was nearly falling over. Somehow we managed to get it downstairs and to the car door... and we almost had it in the seat, when the top of the tower hit the frame of the car door, and the whole thing toppled into the car. Ouch. Once it was at the NCLUG meeting, I was able to reassemble it within 20 minutes. Needless to say, various improvements were made to the model and to the transportation technique, and it arrived at the actual Broughton entirely intact. Scary, though. Quote
languages Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I built a Viking village on two 32x32 baseplates. It was awsome and I was going to take a few pictures for Viking month..... But then one day, I went to a guitar lesson and my Mum let my next-door neighbour (who is 7) into my Lego room! Not only did he destroy the village, he also nicked quite a few pieces....Thanks to Matt for the advice on how to deal with him ;) Anyway. the village was in such a state when I got back, I couldnt be bothered to remake it because the village had taken me 2 months to build....so I decided to build another sculpture which hopefully(if the photos are good), you will see on Saturday. SuvieD Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I had nine medium (12 inches tall) mecha each consisting of 250+ pieces take a domino tumble off of my shelf down some stairs. 2 survived with minimal repairs. :'( Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Back in the house we used to live in before the last one, there was a grated panel directly on the floor itself, with a giant heating unit directly underneath. This was because the house was old & that's how the long-gone coal furnace used to heat the place. Long story short, some bastard of a basset hound we had walked by and toppled a very parts-rich bin of mine over... I shrieked like a little girl as HUNDREDS of Legos went falling through the openings. I got alot of them out, but it was too far to reach for a good deal more. And some of the parts I really liked. Stuff from older Throwbots and Roboriders sets, along with a bit of trans stuff. V__V I checked back daily at this nearby automotive store to see if they got one of those 3-pronged grabby snake tools in, but by the time they did, we'd already had to move. >__< Quote
VikingLord Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I was playing with my Roborider Power on my roof (Don't ask), and I accidentaly dropped it and it rolled down the roof and then fell 10 feet to the ground. Luckily, I was able to salvage all of it and repair it in my room. Quote
LegoLover Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 you no what i hate when my little neices and nephews come over they barge into my room and think they can steal parts to my legos Quote
