The BrickArms M1 was from Oxford. Best-Lock did copy that design, but upon picking up a few of those sets, they aren't nearly as polished and durable as the Oxford versions.

I'm really dissapointed to hear that. I'd love to get Oxford sets here in the US, but if Will can't even get helmets, then there really isn't much chance for the rest of us to get whole Oxford sets.

We can get a slew of cheap copies from China, but we can't get the quality stuff from Korea without spending more on shipping than the set costs!

Yeah, it really makes you wish someone would produce a high-quality, minifig compatible M1 helmet that was easily available.

But really, would who do that?

Maybe the same folks who would be crazy enough to try a "tommy" helmet...

Only so much can fit into a production mold! This one was the largest yet, with over 14 new accessories. Unfortunately, not everything can fit, but then there is a reason we're calling this First Wave 2009

Unfortunately, that accessory (and a few others) has been permanently discontinued due to issues beyond Will's control.

Ahh makes sense then I just thought since its been a "prototype" for awhile  Ahh first wave and its so big too! :cry_happy:

Permanently? I knew it was discontinued but didn't think it was permanent Since I need some Mp5's for some Stargate SG-1 mocs im trying to build.... :sadnew::cry_sad:

Also I know I might not get an anwser but what could render the Mp5 [and the other Hk stuff i presume] "Out of Will's control" ?:look:

Do you have confirmation of this? I always wondered about this, as it looks similar to the ones that oxford, and bestlok use. Of course bestlock copies alot of oxford's designs. So that wouldn't be surprising.

Im pretty sure its oxford, I've got a handful of oxford ones they look exactly the same as the ones that BA was selling.....

I haven't read the entire thread... if I ask a question that has been said feel free to tell me.

Will Wave 2 be making and appearance at BrickWorld?

Would you care to leak any ideas Will has up his sleeve for all of us?

Just wondering, Where are these British Helmets and MG42s Ive been wating half a year for?!

Ive seen plenty of people with them but where do they get them? Do they win competitions?

So, other than Oxford, Best-Lock, and formerly Brickarms, is there anywhere or anybody in the US that somebody could buy those helmets from?

No

As I said, not everything can fit into a single production mold. The MG42 design is still a work in-progress, and although it was nearly ready for this mold, the design just wasn't up to Will's high standards of accuracy and playability yet nor was there sufficient room in the mold.

The Brodie helmet is a special case in that specialized types of molds are needed to produced headgear. As I imply above, Will is developing more headgear, and when he has enough designs to fill a production mold, he'll produce and add them to the BrickArms line-up.

None that I'm aware of.

But where do people get those Brodie helmets and Trans-Baseball bats, All that stuff? Is there competitions or a special supplier?

Like Dragonator has Bayonets, and Photon Pistols, but there not even for sale yet!

They get them at LEGO conventions, or by winning contests. :classic:

I was looking through the products at Brickforge, and it turns out that they have a Military Helmet, as they call it.

I love that they have tons of colors, (*hint, hint*) but can probably wait until Brickarms has (hopefully soon) something available.

These new collections look fantastic, I'm really impressed with the colour-matching too. I own some Brickarms parts already so know quality is bound to be 1st class.

That said, swords and historical firearms are a new direction for BrickArms, and if you'd love to see more in the future, the best way is to order the ones currently available!

And a great new direction at that! I think I'll have to get that historical pack for my fantasy era armies

I'd just like to say that I ordered some of the new items by way of the "World at War" weapons pack (I got the new Bazooka, the M6 rockets to go with it, the Lewis gun, the combat knife and SMLE, as well as all of the other great World War era accesories). I had placed orders with BrickArms in the past and have loved every item that I have bought. I think I have a new favorite item now, though: The Lewis gun is brilliant! It looks so good compared with photos I have seen! I am looking forward to the Luger and some of the other upcoming World War era items.

My shipment of 16$ worth of the new BA weapons came in last Wednesday!

I love using the new combat knives as bayonets on Will's M4s. Also, the Lewis guns have rotating drums (?) on the top!

Does anyone know when we're getting the bayonets, plasma swords, solid energy pistols/needlers, and more mini-figs?

Also, does anyone know when the new prototypes such as the mini-gun, and flame gun will come out?

ive already placed my order and i hope it comes soon

ps: badger on the BA forums all the new passwords wont work can you help? :classic:
