SirNadroj Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Finally finished my teleportation chamber, heavily, heavily based on Disney's late "Alien Encounter" attraction. To see the whole set of pictures, with a brief story to go with it, go here: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/110017 I used a fog machine and lifelites from www.lifelites.com to get the visual effects just right. Here are some pictures: Setup: Many thanks guys! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Naturally its an awesome build Nadroj! The mood portrayed in the lighting and effects takes this above and beyond what most MOC's are able to achieve! The walls look really nice, the characters are great, and nice use of treads and links. Thanks for sharing ISC Quote
Algernon Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Where on Earth did you get those minifig heads?? Awesome work! Quote
TenorPenny Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Very, very good work, matey. Figures and construction combined! Quote
Raven Brickroft Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 At first glance I really thought it was a screenshot from a movie. Then it hit me. I saw a stud. decided to look closer and lo and behold, it's a vignette. My Gahd. That is great. Lighting, smokey effect. That is just awesome. Quote
thire5 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Wow, that's absolutely fantastic! I can't believe it's just Lego, it looks like a real scene. Quote
Eilif Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Wow, I am speechless. Almost. You use of lighting is impecable, your "characters" are very well chosen, and the patterns you chose for the industrial style walls very much evoke the Geiger-ish feeling of Alien and other classic dark space movies. Amazing. Quote
user Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 (edited) Where on Earth did you get those minifig heads?? Awesome work! He got them from Bounty hunter pursuit, Sandy's rocket, Temple of the crystal skull, And a spiderman set. Edited April 9, 2009 by computerbug Quote
Capt. Kirk Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 (edited) Realy nice photos Jordan... The alien I find super but some of the minifigures i find less. But in general very nice! Edited April 9, 2009 by Capt. Kirk Quote
Asuka Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 An impressive and very fine MOC and an excellent job with the pictures. The slideshow was very cool too, only at the end a few more 'mayhem' kind of pictures could´ve been a little more fitting, perhaps... Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I must say that's amazing, I’m a huge fan of the ride (probably one of the best ever built) and you've captured it so very well. I agree with Raven Brickroft in that it could easily be a movie. Sadly though you've made me feel all nostalgic for a ride which sadly is no longer with us. Quote
mania3 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Saw this on TBB and have one of your images as the background on my cellphone. Straight up amazing. It's incredible what a difference lighting can make in a MOC. Great, great, great. Quote
k_peek_2000 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Am I the only person here that instantly recognized this as the old Disney World show? God I really miss that this show before they replaced it! Then I saw the XS Tech logo and knew it! Haha Dude awesome work! Quote
