Eskallon Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Well as I wrote in the reason behind your name forum my name is pronouced: es-ka-lon. This is a strange name and so most people would normally pronounce it differently. It would make me happy if someone already knew the correct pronouncation but I don't mind if you say it differently. 3.14 Toasts Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 As you can read it three-point-one-four-toasts! Quote
Oky Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 It's basically the same as Obi Wan Kenobi, just with a "K" instead of the "B", so "Oky" is pronounced like the first part in "Okay (not ok-ey)-Dokey". Quote
penguinz Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Simply pen-gwins, I you just pronounce the "z" as an "s", or more simply, penguins. Quote
Erdbeereis Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I've always (and still will ) pronounced your Username: Aird-berries That's fine. Well as I wrote in the reason behind your name forum my name is pronouced: es-ka-lon. This is a strange name and so most people would normally pronounce it differently. It would make me happy if someone already knew the correct pronouncation but I don't mind if you say it differently. That's how I thought it was pronounced. Quote

Maegnus Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) Maegnus is also my xbox 360 gamertag, and 95% of the time people pronounce it "Mag-nuss," whereas it is really pronounced as it is written: "Mayg-nuss." It is always nice to hear it pronounced correctly, not that I mind the alternative (still unique enough). Edited April 13, 2009 by Maegnus Quote
Oky Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Darth Legous or ous like Sidious but Lego and no sid ........if that makes sense...... Not really. So, are you saying that your name is pronounced "Darth Leg-ous" or "Leg-ious" or what? I always pronounced it the way it is written, "Lego-is". Quote
Captain REX Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 was there any point in this thread? . Oh well CAP-TIN- REKS Quote
Darth_Legois Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Not really. So, are you saying that your name is pronounced "Darth Leg-ous" or "Leg-ious" or what? I always pronounced it the way it is written, "Lego-is". It was a typo but I stuck with it also the first time I used it online I was 12 and not the best speller. Sorry but its meant to Darth Leg-ous or legous or something ...pretty crazy eh? But thats me....crazy...... Quote
Skipper 24 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) Mine is pronounced S-ki-pa-twen-t-for. The Skipper is like Kipper, the fish. Quite reasonable and easy to pronounce I think unless you spell it the Galic way... Edited April 13, 2009 by Skipper 24 Quote
Zepher Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Zef-er Not overly confusing, I should hope. I think the orginal spelling is Zypher, or Zephyr, (the first is more likely) but i can never remember, and I like it with the "e's" better. God of the West wind (or east, can't remember that either :D) in Greek Mythology. Quote
LuxorV Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Luxor (like the town in Egypt) + letter 'V' (no! that's not a Roman 5! ) LuxorV Quote

Skipper 24 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Luxor (like the town in Egypt) + letter 'V' (no! that's not a Roman 5! ) LuxorV I guessed the Luxor bit but I always thought that V was a Roman numeral 5. Quote
