March 23, 201410 yr I, too, noticed how depleted the Raleigh store PAB wall was after Christmas with all of those free brick boxes being filled. Finally they had some 1x1 bley round tiles in early March after I had visited the store about ten times looking for something to put in those five boxes. Have you noticed how many 1x1 tiles it takes to fill a small box or PAB cup? I love the little 1x1 round tiles for decorating all kinds of things, making steeping stones in a garden, roof tiles, stove top burners, etc. Wish they had them all of the Friends' colors, too. It does take some time to properly stuff a box or cup if using multiple types of pieces, and it is challenging if you have the time. It seems as if LEGO underestimated the amount of bricks it would have to supply in the New Year to fill all of those free boxes. And the same dull bricks tend to show up month after month. 1x1 bricks are rare and often valuable in dark red, green and blue, and sand blue and green. etc. Same with 1x1 square tiles. These must be huge money losers for LEGO when placed in PAB because you can stuff so many in a small box or cup.
March 23, 201410 yr I was in the lego store in Westfield recently. Whilst they were low on a few things, I wasn't sure if it was a stocking issue. I did pick up a lot of trans and trans blue pieces for a MOC that I am working one :)
March 23, 201410 yr It's the one in Orlando - well, hopefully the wall will start filling up again, soon. The entire bottom row was empty where they usually have bricks. And they had 4 of the holes with 2x4 tan bricks - urgh. I just stocked up again on more 1x1 light green tiles for the time being. Edited March 23, 201410 yr by KringlesBricks
March 24, 201410 yr Also, how do they price in Trinity Leeds, UK? Weight, cups, or bricks? And the prices too. You see, I plan to go and want to know. And Lego.com has bad details on this kind of thing.
March 25, 201410 yr Also, how do they price in Trinity Leeds, UK? Weight, cups, or bricks? And the prices too. You see, I plan to go and want to know. And Lego.com has bad details on this kind of thing. Assuming that it will be the same as the Glasgow store. Small cup £6.99 and big cup £11.99. The big cup has a 75p re-use discount against further cup purchases.
March 25, 201410 yr ^ Yes, the Leeds store is by cup, with the prices as above. The small cup has a 50p re-use discount.
March 25, 201410 yr The only new piece at the Chicago store last weekend was the 2x2 red tile, otherwise same old stuff for the past 3 weeks. Looking forward to the end of March and no more free boxes to contend with.
March 25, 201410 yr I actually enjoy building it into a giant square. Just seems to add to the fun. :)
March 25, 201410 yr Not really. Lately the local store hasn't had much of anything on the wall, with all the holiday boxes being filled. with a lackluster PAB wall the past few months has kept me from buying a cup a few times. There is a company wide shortage on PAB bricks. Catch up time is May.
March 26, 201410 yr PAB wall is stocked with green parts, so I figured I'd load up since that's the color I have the least of. My cup: Look at the color variation in the green bricks... yikes. I didn't do a part count, but I'll just say that I think I got my money's worth. Lots of generic green and lime green bricks, a pile 1x2 green slopes, some lime green plates, flowers, and some studs in cool colors. Love those trans orange cheese slopes. I might make a 2nd run to get more since I want to build some landscapes in the near future.
March 27, 201410 yr That is a lot of color variance in those green bricks. I guess that could be kind of nice if you are lego landscaping, though.
March 28, 201410 yr That is a lot of color variance in those green bricks. I guess that could be kind of nice if you are lego landscaping, though. I bought this cup for landscaping purposes, so I like the variance, but it was so obvious that I thought they had a darker green available and the bricks had just been mixed together. It would have been easy enough to sort through them to get all like colored bricks, but if I found this in an official set I'd probably be unhappy.
April 2, 201410 yr I heard around now the annual palette change is upon us... could anyone shed light into this year's parts? Edited April 2, 201410 yr by brickbuilder711
April 4, 201410 yr They added some new things at the Cincinnati store this week. Some of the bins had signs on them to indicate a new part or a part that goes well with a certain theme. Some of the stuff I picked up today is pictured below, picked up a bunch of the white tail pieces and the grey wedge plates and a good handful of the 1x1 trans clear plates and 1x1 round dark blue plates to fill in the gaps. April 4, 201410 yr Yay, great to see those wedges! I know my local store said their PaB wall would be getting a TOTAL makeover soon, in addition to new pieces!
April 4, 201410 yr yeah, definitely grabbed a bunch of those, but I may go back again this weekend as there were at least 2 empty bins marked new so I'm curious to see what they restock those with. Working on a couple projects right now and I plan on taking advantage of the new parts showing up along with the double VIP points right now. .
April 4, 201410 yr You gave me a good reason to visit the local LEGO store down the street showing off those parts!
April 4, 201410 yr I'm excited for those wedges, so many uses.... Now the rest of it, I can't wait to see...
April 4, 201410 yr Are there still any PAB walls with the 1x2 masonry brick on it? I need a bunch for a project.
April 4, 201410 yr Are there still any PAB walls with the 1x2 masonry brick on it? I need a bunch for a project. I second that...
April 4, 201410 yr Are there still any PAB walls with the 1x2 masonry brick on it? I need a bunch for a project. I was talking to a Lego store employee 3 days ago if I could get like 2-3 boxes of them lol. He said he didn't have those and yet he doubt he would sell me the whole box because they are too much in demand. Why can't they order more of them é.è I mean EVERYONE wants this part in a big quantity, LEGO could run another mould and still sell them like hot bread haha. Another employee told me he could order me a box or two when their "customer-order" system is done and that they receive the formation for it... I hope he's right.
April 4, 201410 yr Those 1x1 round dark blue plates. I would love to have a ton of those. I might need to make a run to my Lego store and see what they have in stock.
April 4, 201410 yr Are there still any PAB walls with the 1x2 masonry brick on it? I need a bunch for a project. What do you mean by "still"? I never ever saw those bricks on a PAB wall. Had they been there, at least one cup would have been nothing but those regardless of which color they were.
April 4, 201410 yr I've seen the masonry bricks once on a PAB wall in light bley about a month ago. Got as many as I could but the bin wasn't very full when I got to it.
April 4, 201410 yr What do you mean by "still"? I never ever saw those bricks on a PAB wall. Had they been there, at least one cup would have been nothing but those regardless of which color they were. Some walls had the light grey ones. I hope they how popular these are and stock more.
