Legobrandon Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Filled my first PAB cup yesterday and I'm pretty happy with the result. Lid First PAB Cup 1 by LegoBrandon, on Flickr (Click photo to see the contents) First PAB Cup 2 by LegoBrandon, on Flickr (Click photo to see contents) Quote
natesroom Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I have been working on my PAB supervisor, and she thinks she may be able to get the the grey 30degree slopes in... i said yeehaw! not sure light or dark, but we'll see. I asked her to get the Logs 1x2 and 1x4 and she got brown, D grey and tan... Quote
Lego Otaku Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Have never seen any 1x1 flowers (sprue of 4) other than red. My local store sucks for flowers and plants They never had any plant since I hauled in huge load of 1x1 bamboo plants a year ago. Quote
Sid Sidious Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Victor didn't have any plants either. I asked the lady and she said they had some a while ago. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Went in today and, big surprise, no plant there. They did have white flowers out next to red but it's kind of hard for most 5 year old to enjoy fowers without the green stems. I did get some good parts: Trans-clear 1x2!!! Trans-black 1x2!!!!! Trans-purple and trans-red 1x1 cones 2x2 dark tan tiles! For future MOC, 1x3 dark grey bricks. I also got 1x3 white bricks too Fences Horses and huge 6x16 plates. Biggest piece I've seen for PAB wall to date. Also I had no limit on horses but I didn't want to go overboard. Black 2x2 inverted slopes Not pictured: orange 1x1 round plates and 2 pharaoh head pieces (from series 2) that slipped in with dark tan tiles, I didn't find these until after I got home. There were many of that head piece on build a minifig wall. A quick chart of my total vs BL price (current average) and LEGO.com price Quote
meyerc13 Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Sometimes I don't know whether to be jealous (6x16 plates!?!) or glad that I haven't found these items on the pick-a-brick wall... because if I had found them, I'd probably be leaving with much less money than I entered the store with. On second thought... for 6x16 plates I'd gladly pinch my pennies. Quote
Legobrandon Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I regret not getting more of the 6x16 plates. What was I thinking? Only 4? I also need 100 more stems to complete my MOC and the Vancouver store does not have any. :( Quote

Lego Otaku Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Which store and how long were you there? AC A LEGO store And about 1 hour, I didn't spend time packing in pieces tightly as they can be time consuming to get about 25% more plus technically I can't sell packed bricks as new on Bricklink because they'd have been assembled and become used. natesroom Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Yeah the Downtown Disney Store has the 6x16 in their PAB and they also have 1x16 brick in white and black Quote

Lego Otaku Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I think ACPin meant, "Which Lego store did you go to?". As in the specific city/mall that it was located. I know I was picking on the fact his question never specified which LEGO store I went to. If it really matters, there is only 1 LEGO store in my state, Troy store. I wish there'd be another store closer than a 90 minutes drive if the freeway isn't congeste,) or over 2 hours if it's bad. At least Sommerset mall doesn't have parking problem during mornings, I can reach the 3rd floor parking and be less than 1000 feet (300 meters) walking from my car to the store. Quote

I want them for my CREATOR houses. Quote

SilentMode Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I picked up a bunch of those white picket(?) fences at Stratford earlier this evening, along with some Green 6x8 plates and 1x2 bricks in Bright Pink and Medium Blue. Quote
brickbuilder711 Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 (edited) Miami (Aventura) PAB has been gracefully updated with smoke 1x2, brown palisades, and some goodies, Brt Pink 1x4 and white flower sprues. For my landscaping I was missing white flowers with my surplus of red and Dk.Pink, so I felt this was a balance. I also got a good amount of the Brt. Pink goodies since I know that's a pretty hard part to get and it is expensive online. The Miami warehouses or even the Plant City Cinema model I may be doing sometime soon will benefit from it. I envy the Clear 1x2s as I NEEEED those! This tower named Element that I am doing would really benefit from it. Time to head to O-Town and raid the LIC store! Maybe I'll clean the wall of them! MikeyB Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 The orlando store doesnt have those bricks that your talking about. It does have the Brown and tan and DK grey palisades wish they had those in downtown disney when I was down. I am making a trip back down the end of July so hopefully they will have a good selection then. I am going to Charlotte next weekend so I am going to try to hit the store there so maybe they will have them even though their wall is about 1/3 the size of Orlando's Quote

soccerkid6 Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 About week and a half ago I got my first PAB cups, my siblings helped me pack them, these are from the Victor store: In total we got: 207 red 2x2 tiles 132 trans red 1x1 plate rounds 1367 trans white 1x1 plate rounds 382 trans white 1x2 plates 270 trans white 1x2 bricks 131 yellow 2x2 tiles 781 reddish brown 1x4 tiles 254 bley 1x4 bricks 169 bley 1x3 bricks 130 dark bley 1x1 bricks 22 dark bley 2x2 bricks 428 tan 1x2 log bricks 153 reddish brown 1x4 bricks 95 tan 1x3 bricks 10 tan 2x4 bricks 4 dark bley 2x4 bricks Plus tons of trans clear red/green 1x1 tiles, didn't want to count those Total (not counting the trans clear 1x1 tiles): 4535 pieces Our basic strategy was to build the core of bricks then put tiles and small plates around the edges, I was quite happy with what we got Quote
PenPlays Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Man! I wish my nearest store had a selection like that! I nearly cried when I saw the 1x4 bley bricks were on the wall last I went back! They were almost gone, but I managed at least 200 along with about 100 1X4 Reddish Brown plates, and about 40 2x2 Dk bley bricks. Hopes for an epic castle/village MOC grow greater adding that single PAB cup to my large collection of flower spures and 1000+ Reddish Brown 1x2 log bricks. I hope the selection at my store gets better!! Quote
Vindicare Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Why'd you buy 2 brick separators? I have a small army of those from buying sets. That is quite a nice haul. You certainly came out of the gate running! Quote

You certainly came out of the gate running! I rarely if ever buy big sets, and my finger nails were still in pain from disassembling my last MOC (or maybe it was the hours of rockpicking the day before) Thanks, I knew I wouldn't be able to get back to the store soon so wanted to get the most out of the PAB wall, I think we did pretty well with a per piece price of less than 2 cents I also ended up getting the free Sopwith Camel and the Uruk-Hai army 5 dollars off Quote
