Sid Sidious Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Does anyone know if the Brickbuildr for the 2 Toronto stores is accurate? Also are there any special things to keep in mind while there (only x cups per person, one is very busy while the other isn't, etc.)? Quote
iamwhoiam Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Does anyone know if the Brickbuildr for the 2 Toronto stores is accurate? Also are there any special things to keep in mind while there (only x cups per person, one is very busy while the other isn't, etc.)? Unfortunately I don't have the answer to your question, but just to let you know there are actually 4 Lego stores in Toronto! -Yorkdale -Fairview -Sherway Gardens -Vaughan Mills (It's with the Legoland Discovery Center) Quote
ACPin Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 And the answer is... Nineteen (19) horses per large PAB cup and a large cup of the trans-light blue crystals. Meaning the volume occupied by the thirty eight (38) horses was actually a large PAB cup! Quote
SandMirror38 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I wish! But no. Before this they had had the same group of bricks since before Christmas. Ok thanks :) Going to America in September and can't wait to finally go to a Lego store! I will buy every single tan brick that exists :P Quote

-Horizon- Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Does anyone know if they had 1x2 Brown Bricks and 1x2 Brown tiles to go with the Horses? Quote
ACPin Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Does anyone know if they had 1x2 Brown Bricks and 1x2 Brown tiles to go with the Horses? Mine had 1x2 brown bricks and I just replaced the 1x2 purple tiles with my 1x2 brown tiles for the pic. AC Quote

antp Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) I updated the inventory for the Lille Shop on http://www.brickbuil...b/side/off/107/ The horses do not display on the page, same for the 2x4 azure & lavender plates, or the bamboo leaves. (contents of a large + a small cup) There weren't many horses left, I took only two, they take space and I am not sure what I would do with these Edited July 5, 2014 by antp Quote

My brother-in-law (who was with me when I went two days ago in the Lille store, and to whom I showed this photo) does not believe that one can stack all these horses in two cups (and there weren't many left when I was there, we didn't try to fill a cup with these even if it was just for testing purpose) Edited July 7, 2014 by antp Quote
Gooker1 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Love your work ACPin. can't wait to see what you have planned! Quote
kibosh Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Can someone make a photo of a cup filled with horses? My brother-in-law (who was with me when I went two days ago in the Lille store, and to whom I showed this photo) does not believe that one can stack all these horses in two cups (and there weren't many left when I was there, we didn't try to fill a cup with these even if it was just for testing purpose) I don't have a photo, but here's how I packed 16 into each without even trying: 1) used a 1x4 brick to connect two horses together, and tucked in the legs and heads, dropped into the bottom of the cup. 2) added another horse head down on each side of #1. 3) Created another horse pair as in #1, and placed on top of the the first team. This gave me a solid, dense 6-horse base. Filled in cracks with the same gems. 4) Repeat 1-3. This gets you to 12 horses. 5) Work to cram 4 more in around the top edge. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I don't need any horses, BUT if I was able to get to a LEGO store, I'm sure I would stock up on them as well. It's good and bad I don't live near a LEGO store. I'd probably spend too much on PAB. Quote
KringlesBricks Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Picked up a 4 horses today with more lime green 1x2 and 1x4, plus the blue aqua crystals, and 2x2 light grey slopes. Stopped and talked with the assistant manager at the store (getting to know each other with each visit). He commented there will be more of the friends colors and items on the wall this quarter. I was missing my tan and green 1x2 slopes for the landscaping I had planned for my layout :( Hello Bricklink..I need slopes now. Quote
Cara Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Here we go, 23 horses squished into a large pick-a-brick cup. Larger photos on my flickr stream. Quote
antp Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the photo, I guess that with a little less (e.g. the 19 mentioned previously) one would even be able to correctly close the lit Edited July 9, 2014 by antp Quote
