KringlesBricks Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 ^^^Yea...I guess I could've done that; but, I needed more containers for storing pieces in my collection. Those Lego cups are nice for storing pieces and to work out of when landscaping my layout. When you think about it, those cups are a nice bonus when it comes to organizing your collection pieces. kibosh Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Good point. The small cups are certainly easier to grab parts from when you're building. Stopped by my store this afternoon. No cheese slopes other than clear. No more horses. Really not much of any interest. :-( Quote
jimmynick Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Question regarding online PaB: when a part is described as "not available" what does that mean for its future availability / how soon might it be back again? Quote
ItsaBRICKS Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) Has anyone ever seen the 'brick'/masonry bricks on a PaB wall in any color? I have zero of these bricks and would rather get them off a PaB wall than make a huge Bricklink order. Edited July 18, 2014 by ItsaBRICKS Quote

At tthe opening of the lego store in Wijnegem (Belgium) there were these masonry bricks in light bluish grey. Sold out the same day tho.. Went to the Lego store today and got 1 Large Cup. Lots of little and rare parts! Last picture is to show how many different parts. (1 of each) Contents are: Quote
antp Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) All these random parts were in Wijnegem's pick-a-brick? I should go there again :) It looks like they dumped there the rest of sets. I saw that in the store in Köln. I went to Wijnegem store on the 2nd or 3rd day, and there weren't masonery bricks anymore indeed. Edited July 18, 2014 by antp Quote
Cara Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Those pieces are lovely indeed Ritsz, My store says they have to send all those type of pieces (from sets/mini builds etc) back to LEGO :( It would be truly wonderful to have one bin be all the mixed odds and ends Quote

It's not an official lego store, but the owner made it look exactly like one. He does get all the exclusives from lego to sell, and same with the pab-wall. Those pieces are lovely indeed Ritsz, My store says they have to send all those type of pieces (from sets/mini builds etc) back to LEGO :( It would be truly wonderful to have one bin be all the mixed odds and ends Well thats exactly what this guy is doing, about half of the wall are official pab parts, and the other half are parts out of sets. There really can be any part in the bins. They are sorted out by color, so you do have to search a lot in those bins. But if you got the time it's really enjoyable. I go straight to the bottom of the bins where all the small parts are So jealous!! You made out nice. Thanks! Quote

Lego Otaku Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Question regarding online PaB: when a part is described as "not available" what does that mean for its future availability / how soon might it be back again? If you're checking online LEGO.com, it could be they are sold out and are not producing any more of it. Do keep an eye on it, once in a while LEGO finds surplus sets and puts it back up for sale. They often get sold out quickly. Has anyone ever seen the 'brick'/masonry bricks on a PaB wall in any color? I have zero of these bricks and would rather get them off a PaB wall than make a huge Bricklink order. Light bley and not for ages. They were very hard to get because everyone wants some and often they clean out PAB wall. I want to get some for myself but my local store never had any in stock. Quote
brickbuilder711 Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 (edited) Aventura was short on PAB so much of the girly parts were scattered around the wall. They said that Sawgrass wasn't in much better shape. I wound up with the following, dual purpose: to sample the colors and stock up on the Friends colors for Miami stuff, and most importantly, my Element construction. Pink: 1x2 plate, 2x6 plate Lavender: 2x4 plate MdAzure: 2x4 plate MdBlue: 1x1, 1x2 brick MdStoneGrey: Most important part...... 1x3 brick Sadly as I was on a rush, a huge space was left over on cup 2 but I'm okay with it, it's at most 50 1x2 plates worth and I went over the rim anyway as I usually do. The wall also had: 2x2 brick in pink; dkpink, red, white flowers; and green, black, and brown 1x4 brick, etc. Edited July 21, 2014 by brickbuilder711 Quote

I haven't ever seen these(love Cheese Slopes =) ): Cup 1 Contents: Cup 2 Contents: Edit: Also, funny story. Had a couple come in as I was getting my cups and get over 30 cups. They took all the Light Gray Tile pieces I was hoping to pick up more of. They spent over $800 on pick a brick cups for a Lego competition. Edited July 22, 2014 by Tech Artist Quote

-Horizon- Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 (edited) Any way of sneaking minifig parts from the build-a-fig in it? You can, but I consider it wrong because PaB is PaB and Bam is BaM. But that is just my opinion. Edited July 23, 2014 by lego3364 Quote
