I would assume people buy the horses to use in their MOCs.

However, sellers on bricklink have them listed from $2.50 to $10.50.

I bought horses because I want to do MOCs of the Old West.

And someday, I'd like to do a whole cavalry regiment, though a company might be a more reasonable goal, unless I buy a house.

Stopped by the Lone Tree, CO store today. Horses are back on their wall if anyone's interested. Plenty of bricks in pink, dark pink, and purple, but not too many tiles or plants. Some trans clear, dark red, and trans black 1x2 bricks, though.

Still never any 1x1 round tiles or olive green parts, and no horse. What happened to consistency among stores? I did pick up a lot of black 1x1 bricks with studs on 4 sides, always useful for snots. 2x10 tan plates they also had medium sized propellers but nothing to connect it, 2x4 slopes in 2 different colors, and jet engine units with 1x2 plate on the side.

Not too spectacular as it's mostly regular bricks and still too many pink and purple but no empty bins this time. A few bins are low (2x2 red tiles, 1x2 clear plates, and 2x2 slope with computer print for example) and could be emptied into a small cup easily.

Only got 3 large cups, mostly for tan 2x10's and green 6x8's plus a few propellers since they can be turned into ceiling fans easily. Stuffed the empty spaces with red gem pieces to go with other color I got last time and such.

Now who do I bug about having a LEGO store closer to me? 90 minutes drive still sucks. If one appeared in Great Lakes Crossing mall near the Palace of Auburn Hills, it would shave about 30 minutes from my trip. I'd be happy for one in Flint or Saginaw but I doubt it'd happen, those 2 cities are festering cesspool of murderers, rapists, arsonists, and other thieves. They make Mos Eisley look like family resort! Those people probably can't afford LEGO at retail price, if the security straps on Walmart's $20 sets are any indication.

Is that 1x1 orange brick you posted the bright pumpkin orange or the dark orange from the town hall?

Bright orange is quite common in the EU PaB, but I've not yet seen dark orange there, so I guess it is the former one

I have never seen any shade of orange beside eye-melting bright orange on PAB.

I didn't ask, there were about 20 little kids running around I was too busy keeping my cups from running away. I'd imagine the employees were busy as well.

I picked up two large cups from the Mayfair / Wauwatosa store yesterday. Got around 2500 pieces, mainly because of a lot of a 1x1 round plates. Several good parts for water effects as well as light yellowish green plates good for foliage. Printed control panel 1x2 tiles were also intriguing, though how many do you need. 1677 pieces. I broke one of the 2x4 bley when I used two brick separators to separate two stacked on top of each other.

Went to the Cincinnati store today.

Picked up mostly some plates and bricks for a project, but here's a few other things I snagged. They had just refreshed the wall.

dark azure brick 1x2(corrected the color, they are the same blue as in the Galaxy squad sets)

light gray brick 1x1 with handle

trans-clear panel 1x2x2

magenta 1x2 slopes

light gray locking hinge plates 1x2(both halves)

Stuff I didn't grab that was interesting:

white fence 1x8x2 2/13

trans light blue round brick 2x2

dark gray 2x2x2 box with open top

So would Magenta 1x2 slopes. Interesting. I like to believe it's MdBlue but will wait for an answer on that.

Also, since today is October 1 I think we're due for a refresh.

Sorry, now that I take another look they are actually dark azure, the same as the galaxy squad blue squad sets. Still not a part I had seen on the wall before.

As I went to see the Art of the Brick exhibition, I had the opportunity to visit the London Stratford store, this is the haul I got:

Actually these could be found in Paris' Levallois Store in January 2013.

Though that amongst these slopes, a lot were discoloured or at least badly coloured. I supposed it was a lot that went to the PaB because unusable in regular sets.

edit: well actually those were dark pink, not magenta.

It is definitely dark azure blue. I went and picked some up. There are also 1x4 plates in medium lavender and lime jumper plates that I haven't seen on the wall before.
