SirNadroj Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 This is supposed to be an 18+ forum, right? All of the pictures here once moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=377956 Thanks! Quote
Ronan Nissen Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 What's a brothel? Just kidding. Great job. I love the women on the balcony and the people waiting outside. Quote
Athos Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Very nice work, as usual. I like the pillars on the balcony, looks very run down and rickety. Steve Quote
Raven Brickroft Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Deadwood... Dead... wood.... I just love those white chairs on the second floor. And you've combined the classic open back with the modular "stack on top of each other" building style. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I was just looking at this on Brickshelf Sir N. You never seize to amaze me with your outstanding creations! I really like the colors you selected for this creation, making it very unique. I love the interior of the 2nd floor -just fantastic! I'm going to take a look at this again to pick up some of the fine details; there are so many. Great work as always! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Very nice and amusing creation! Well done on the design of the chairs too. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) That's a totally awesome Western MOC, SirNadroj! I really it! Its architecture looks very realistic and the details are stunning! The choice of minifigs fits very well, too. Only one suggestion: I'd interchange the lime green bricks with some bricks of other color - equally which color but imo this lime green doesn't fit. Otherwise it's perfect! The most I like the bar downstairs and the white-black chairs upstairs. Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter Edited April 12, 2009 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
Sandy Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Only one suggestion: I'd interchange the lime green bricks with some bricks of other color - equally which color but imo this lime green doesn't fit. I have to disagree with Klaus on this one: the lime green does the job perfectly - especially since you've combined it with yellow. It might not be the most beautiful color combination, but for a sleazy, cheap brothel, it's a perfect match! To add to it, the usage of that color is very rare in MOCs, so like TheBrickster said, it makes this MOC stand out for it's originality. So don't touch the lime green! As for the rest of the MOC, it's chock-full of interesting details and superb minifigs, and the interior with all it's nifty furniture is really very well done. So thanks for showing this to us! PS. The first one to object this MOC for showing nudity will get a good kick that will fly them to the nearest kids' LEGO forum. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Wonderful and epic creation again SirNadroj! Well done. I really like the large ammount of detail in this MOC, the furniture, stairs, the balcony... Great job on this! Quote
jifel Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Sir Nadroj, you should be ashamed of yourself for that... PS. The first one to object this MOC for showing nudity will get a good kick that will fly them to the nearest kids' LEGO forum. That is a very nice MoC, especially that ingenious method for the 3 X's on the top of building! jifel Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Now that looks like a place where i would hang around in the old west. A wonderfull job you did there Jordan, especially the 3 X's on the facade are a cool detail. Quote
Sandy Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Now that looks like a place where i would hang around in the old west. So would the STDs. Quote
Asuka Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 A wonderfully detailed and smooth work in a great color scheme indeed, very smart! Quote
The Who Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Brothel...Very well put, Sir Nadroj. Didn't even read the title and immediately knew what your MOC was about, as the second floor was a dead giveaway. (You always make good MOCs, so I went ahead and clicked the thread.) So would the STDs. Crash....And....Burn. Quote
Batbrick Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Obligatory brothel hokes aside, this is another neat creation here Sir Nadroj. I'll be the first to say that an overuse of "illegal" techniques just gets pretentious, so to see you make a return to a more classic architecture design with a sparkle of neat techniques thrown in really looks great. I think my favourite parts are the interior and exterior, meaning it all looks great! (For a Brothel anyway ) Batbrick Away! Quote
Guss Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Amazing work sirnadroj ! it just looks awesome^^ I love it! Quote
UserNameInvalid Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Very good! Also good to have a doctor there, doing his free walk-in STD clinic. (I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt ) Quote
Thrash Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 All of the details in the MOC are really great. I can't figure out for the life of me how you made those X's on the roof... ~Thrash Quote
