Well, my order arrived two days ago, but the bad thing was that the two Public Works sets were pretty badly smashed and the General Grievous set was a bit smashed on the top. I finished the build in one day (about five hours).

The poster is amazingly huge. The back shows the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary, except that the battle-damaged Darth Vader has been replaced with a chrome black Darth Vader.

That's good news! The chrome Vader is a much better choice for a cover. Did it happen to show the exclusive minifigure?

Sadly, no. The minifigure picture is still preliminary.

I received my poster rather quickly as well, and although most of the big box was filled with airbags, the poster was bent. :hmpf_bad: However, the box of the Clone BP was fine.

The poster is 23x31 inches.

I don't think the Vader on the dictionary cover art is the chrome version, just a very shiny DS-style one.

Plus, the Wookiee warrior labeled "Chewbacca" is gone now.

And yes, the exclusive minifig pic is the same as the one on the cover art in the 2009 News Topic - prelim. :sadnew:

Oh, and by the way, the back of the poster also said that the book is going to be available in LEGO Stores and LEGO Shop@Home, as well as places like book stores and Amazon. :classic:

Are you sure? I just took a look at it again, and it looks like a chrome Darth Vader to me.

I'll post a picture of it for everyone to see...

EDIT: Here they are...

Sorry about the blurriness of these pictures, but it's dark, which means that it's almost impossible to get a good picture.

Also note that the advertisement for the visual dictionary is only on one-eighth of the back of the poster.

I got my poster seperate from my UCS MF. Came in a padded envelope. #5k something. At least it was "normal" poster size, not like the poster that came in that other SW Lego set from TRU.

Good find, ILikePi. The book looks good and I'd say that was a chrome Vader on the front, or a polished regular one.

Can I just ask why we're discussing the book in this thread when it is due to be released in September, not as a May exclusive? :sceptic:

You guys just watch...if they don't change that minifig on the cover, I'm 100% sure that it's going to be a chrome Darth Vader.

I don't think so. There isn't a chance in pi.

But we want the actual minifig, not the 'included' one that just happens to be (only) printed on the cover.

I hardly found a high resolution Poster myself since Lego asked to take it out from Flirck.

I finally found this link:

http://www.downloadmunkey.net/2009/05/rand...edition-poster/

the pic is in the link "this link" (5.2 MB zipped).

Very nice resolution of 6866 x 9000

At last we can appreciate the minis beauty! :)

For those people who didn't have luck to have this poster, you can enjoy having a look at all the minis in another way than looking at the low resolution little pic

Lego has let on the web. Better to put nothing than teasing people stupidly! ;)

This is the same as the one we've already seen in the topic about this special release on the 3-4 of May.

Also the high resolution picture is linked in both the pinned news topics.

I didn't see it.

The worst is that I searched at this high resolution poster for a long time without finding.

And even worst is that I looked at this second link you posted...

Maybe cause the topics ot too much infos inside for a single thread...

Better to separate a little imo

But maybe it's only me. I don't have time to pass long hours to read the thread so I just pass fast over them and try to find what i really search.

Sorry to open an unusefull topic. Maybe it will be usefull one for guys like me?! :D

No problem :classic:

The difficulties in finding news within the news topic is the reason that I keep the first post updated with pics and info.

It's also the reason that there is a closed news topic that contains only news and no chit-chat.
