JimBee Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I kind of like it, and I'm the least bit disappointed. Come on, did you really think that they would be giving away chrome Vaders for free? I was thinking a keychain or a magnet at the most. I won't bother ordering just to get this, but I would like to see a pic of the poster. All that hard work on the minifigure indexes for nothing. KimT Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I would love to get me one of those posters. Imagine every single star wars minifig on a poster What's not to like about that? Quote
Bobskink Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) I love it that is is something cheap which every fan can get. edit, seems again us only Edited May 2, 2009 by Bobskink Quote
Millacol88 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I would love to get me one of those posters.Imagine every single star wars minifig on a poster What's not to like about that? KimT, you would buy a waffle iron if it had the lego logo and Darth Vader's face on it. Judging by your collection, you aren't too discriminate about the LSW products you buy. [/kidding] I really was expecting more than a poster. A discount or a keychain/magnet would have been much more welcome. This is a giveaway if you buy x worth of lego isn't it? Not something we can just buy for a reasonable price? Quote
Tinn-man Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Looking at the poster, I've already seen one minifigure that they left off, and it was one of the first too. The original tatooine LUKE SKYWALKER. Quote
Bobskink Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) after closer examination on Brothersbrick, I must say this poster really sucks and makes no sense. There is only one version of each figure, always the newest one. When you mix yellow and flesh, you should all of them to give it at least some sense. There is Yoda and Dooku from the Clone Wars and not the ones from the movies. The gold C3PO is pictured different than the rest. Some figures have weapons/ lightsabers and some none, when they should have. And best one of all: they forgot Cloud City Han Solo and I think the A-wing mechanic. I feel like sush a nerd but it wasn't that hard to spot. The idea for this poster is very cool, but the way they worked it out, is just a very very lazy photoshop. Let's hope it's not the final result. Edited May 3, 2009 by Bobskink Quote
darkrebellion Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 The poster looks better when you look at it in a bigger pic but I must agree with Bobskink that some are missing and that this is a lazy way from the TLC to celebrate the 10 annniversary. In my opinion all the people that have follow the line deserve something better than just a poster. Personally, the word "announcement" somehow seems to me like something more than a simple poster. Maybe the pre-order of that mysterious set ? Quote
MaxGoof Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 What's with that BIZARRE nuclear-green colored Jar Jar in the middle of the poster...? Quote
posades Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 What's with that BIZARRE nuclear-green colored Jar Jar in the middle of the poster...? Isn't that the Gungan soldier that came in the Gungan Patrol set? Quote
Derek Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Personally, the word "announcement" somehow seems to me like something more than a simple poster. Maybe the pre-order of that mysterious set ? Maybe the poster is free with pre-order/order? That seems a little more momentous. As much as I think that TLC WOULD only do so much as to give us a lousy poster, I just think that they would give a bit more for the 10th anniversary. Less than 2 hours and we should know... Quote
Legoman Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 What's with that BIZARRE nuclear-green colored Jar Jar in the middle of the poster...? Isn't that the Gungan soldier that came in the Gungan Patrol set? Yeah, but its... miscoloured to say the least Quote
YG-49 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) After closer examination you see it has unreleased figs such as Nute Gunray, Pirates, coloured Ewoks and Endor Troopers and Palpatine and Senate Commandos and Admiral Ackbar and Mon Calamari engineer and Mon Mothma Edited May 3, 2009 by YG-49 Quote
Millacol88 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I don't think this is US exclusive, as it's on the Canadian S@H. I also think we will get a bit more than a poster. It says to check the page at 12:01 EST for an "announcement" of some kind. Can you imagine if that big announcement was: "if you spend a whole bunch of money here, we'll give you a free, gimmicky, incomplete, easily photoshoppable poster"? Like Darthperson said a while ago their wording warrants something more than a poster. Quote
YG-49 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 On the Australian version of that website, it doesn't have the announcement banner Quote
Millacol88 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 On the Australian version of that website, it doesn't have the announcement banner Too bad. You guys miss out on plenty of promotions and such, don't you? Quote
Tinn-man Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 On FBTB it says poster comes free with ANY purchase AND to come back May 3rd for ANOTHER SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT. So there will be more than just a poster. Hurray !!! Quote
soc399 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 The UCS Falcon is now on sale for $375, but I hope that isn't the special announcement. Quote

Clone OPatra Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 not that bad. a 3 in 15,000 chance to win a limited first edition falcon. i do rather like the poster though. No, it's a 3 in who knows-how-many? chance at winning a Falcon. It says all orders place May 3 or 4 will be automatically entered into the drawing, and there are also 15000 copies of the poster, which I guess are first-come first-serve. I bet LEGO will sell out of something cheap pretty quick, from all those people wanting to enter to win the Falcon. Quote
MaxGoof Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Well, I don't know that it was worth staying up until midnight for, but I sorta want the poster, so I went ahead and ordered a Separatist Spider Droid. Even with tax and shipping, it's STILL costing less than it would cost me to just buy it at Toys R Us with their crazy prices... The poster isn't like the best exclusive ever, but I guess I'm a sucker... Quote
k_peek_2000 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Oh man, i just placed an order and i realized its only 9:30 pm haha, I hope i still get the poster XD Quote
