Posted April 18, 200915 yr Hope the mods don’t' mind, but, I made a new topic for this since this is now in real bricks and not CAD. One for CAD, one for real. Anyways, here is what I have so far! Additional pics can be found here, when moderated! Should be soon, I upload it yesterday! EDIT: For some reason, I was thinking there was a pic limit. Here are more pics of it. Brickshelf This is 3008 pieces so far. For a total of $396.42 via bricklink. Minus shipping, which was $48.20. So $348.22 in just pieces for this beast! Some pieces I ordered for the body already. So not all 3008 are for the legs and such, but, close!! I have some more pieces here waiting for me for the head and neck. Which will leave about 1600 more pieces for the body and side panels. I rebuilt the hips. The CAD model was just a start. I knew I was going to have to modify it when building in real bricks. I added some Technic Rotation Disks to them. 2 on each. I don't want to use Technic Liftarms, as the angles are way off. But, after add the body, if the weight is too much, I have some other ideas up my sleeve. But, I may have to use one on the foot I want to be off the ground, above a snowspeeder!! That is what the foot with hinged toes is for!! The only thing is after building this part of it. I think I will have to add a base for added stability. Which is way there are holes in the bottom of 3 of the feet. I plan on building a base, probably in white and using that for some added strength and support. Hope you like! More to come later. I have a ton of things going to right now and am not sure when I will get this done. Hopefully in a few weeks! And before anyone asks, yes, there is combination of old gray and bley in there. Some pieces and cheaper in one color or the other. Plus, I think it gives it a worn, weathered look. Like it has seen a few battles. Now, if I can figure out how to make it look like it got hit by some blasters?? As always, any and all feedback is appreciated!! Thanks, Jamie Edited April 24, 200915 yr by KimT
April 18, 200915 yr An excellent start Jamie. When your gallery is public I will be sure to check out the rest of the images.
April 18, 200915 yr Hey, that's looking really good so far, well done! I too will check your folder when public. Looks like it's going to be massive when complete, can't wait to see your continued progress on it Are you going to build full interiors for it too?
April 18, 200915 yr seems to be something that became my favourite sw moc of all times^^ maybe because the At At is my favourite star wars "machine" .
April 18, 200915 yr Wow, that is very big! I really want to see the folder on BS! Is that Indy on the top, with his whip? Greetings, JD
April 18, 200915 yr That is HUGE! Very impressive! I know... big MOC needs big pics and all that... But can you pls resize your pics before posting? It took quite some time to load.
April 19, 200915 yr Author Skipper 24, Thanks. New pics are added to the first post, I am sure yoiu saw that, but... Pedro, Yes, it will have an interior! I have about 24 seats for Snowtroopers, maybe able to add more, not sure yet. An engine room and armory. No speeder bike rack, but, it may be possible. I will when I start working on the body. Plus there are 2 deck and ladders. Guss, build one. I have CAD files up for it in my brickshelf gallery. That is what I am working off of right now. They are not step by step instructions, but, will give one heck of a start!! KimT, you ever get around to building this?? Yes, that is Indy with his ship and a streering wheel! Commander Flash, I am not sure if it is to "scale". That is such a loose term when talking about Lego, with Minifig size and such. But, I think it is closer then the official Lego version. Theirs was cool, but, I thought undersized!! UserNameInvalid, Done! I thought I out the resized ones up on here. Sorry! These forums are the place to be right now! There are alot of cool customs coming along with now. AT-ATs, AT-TE, Falcons and of course alot of UCS TIE Fighters coming. Jamie
April 19, 200915 yr Wow, that is a lot of money and your not even done yet. I can't wait to see the finished product. So far, you are doing great! Keep up the good work. LegoKing
April 19, 200915 yr Excellent. We were expecting your "cat", so your pics are a good piece of news. Hope to see it built as soon as possible. Regards.
April 19, 200915 yr That looks heaps cool. You've got so much details on the hoves of the AT-AT. I'm sure it will be an amazing MOC when completed. I actualy have a technic one but that is way better. You should get some of those battrey packs and motor so you can make it move. It would be harder to do now though.
July 28, 200915 yr Sorry to revive this thread, but are you still working on this? It seems to nice to quit working on
January 6, 201114 yr Author Wow, it's been along time since, I worked on this!! Anyways, after sitting in a pile of pieces in the corner of my play room, I finally finished this BEAST!! Pics are up in my Brickshelf account when modded. But, it seems to be on the fritz now?!? Atleast for me?! Here is a teaser, till Brickshelf comes back online?! January 7, 201114 yr Author Ditto. Brickshelf seems to be working fine now, we are anxiously awaiting pics! Here is a side shot with panels on! To get an idea of size here is a shot of mine next to my BAT-AT(Big AT-AT) released this year by Hasbro. Overhead. The head. The head is held in place by 2 Technic Axels. She is 28 inches tall, 26 inches long, and about 7 inches wide. Edited January 7, 201114 yr by jamie75
