ILikePi Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Agh, I keep forgetting to watch the episodes! I always watch Disney Channel as they always have new shows on Fridays (like today, where they had a new Wizards of Waverly Place and a new Suite Life on Deck). Oh well, I can always watch it on watchtheclonewars.com. The trailer was very interesting, can't wait to see the whole episode! Quote
DarthSion Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 Well its your networks, can't blame them for not showing them over those 2 holidays when everyone is out eating. And sorry but your wrong, there were 2 breaks last year. 5. 1- 5 114 24 Oct 08 Rookies 6. 1- 6 102 7 Nov 08 Downfall of a Droid That would be the Halloween break, and this would be the Thanks giving. 8. 1- 8 105 21 Nov 08 Bombad Jedi 9. 1- 9 110 5 Dec 08 Cloak of Darkness http://epguides.com/StarWarsTheCloneWars/ Not like you lot have anything to complain about, try being in Australia, season 2 of SGA started in the USA before season one was even half way through on FTA here, although I don't know if its as bad I don't use FTA any more, or even our cable. Oky Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 (edited) Yes that was a pretty good episode. Creepy, with some nice Vader references. I liked the evil, Ventress-like look in Barris' eyes when she was infected. However, it's also Grievous, and seeing how bad he was in season 1, I'm unsure if I want to see him again. Well, Filoni said that he regrets how bad they made him and the other baddies look in the first season, and the preview looks promising, so I hope they learned their lesson and will use this chance to change his image. But although I fully agree on the fingers issue, I don't think they'll change any character designs, unless they make the switch to Phase 2. Anakin is just too thin. Plus, he has a really long skirt, which seems really inhibiting. If they seem to be against giving a clone a half-skirt, why then do they give a Jedi a shin-length one? Maybe the skirt length symbolizes rank? Wait a minute, your an American aren't you, in which case its your own fault its that way, the first break was due to Halloween, the second was due to Thanks giving. Woah! Now hold on a minute! How is it Mandalorian's personal fault that CN decided to have this kind of schedule? Edited December 5, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
DarthSion Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 I didn't say it was his fault, but if everyone is out doing Halloween and Thanks giving then why air it if no one is around to watch it. Quote
Captain REX Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I honestly don't see what you guys are complaining about. Being in the UK im still an episode behind USA. at the start of the season i was about 3 episodes behind and these breaks USA have been having have allowed me to catch up. So after this next break i shouldn't be behind USA. Quote
hollisbrick Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I believe it's Agan (sp?) Kolar. Which is neat. However, it's also Grievous, and seeing how bad he was in season 1, I'm unsure if I want to see him again. Really? I thought he was way better and improved in season 1 than he was in the movie. And yea it sucks that we have to wait til next year Quote
sok117 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Where are you guys seeing this preview? and on an unrelated note, I just had the weirdest thought, you guys know how a side-effect to being overwhelmed by the force is provoking rapid aging, wouldn't it be weired if Ashoka Tano actually turned out to be shakk Ti, I know it sounds weired but i wouldn't imagine them just killing her off in the series finale, and People over at Lucas films are going to need to find some reason for her not being mentioned in episode three, just my thoughts, any comments questions or concerns? The preview is always at the end of the episode when it airs on TV. As for Ahsoka, I think Shakk Ti was in episode 2, or at least existing already. I'm not sure of this, but it's extremely unlikely Ahsoka and Shaak are the same. However, it is troubling how they would get rid of Ahsoka. I remember reading somewhere that it was likely they'd kill her off at the end of Season 3, so there would be enough time delay for Anakin to recover. It also makes sense to have Ventress kill her, since otherwise Anakin would say something to Grievous or Dooku in Episode 3. You've brought up a good point, and I think no one will really know how they'll do it. Quote
DarthSion Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 (edited) You mean if you completely ignore the fact that Ashoka was born 36BBY, Shaak' Ti replaced Yaddle on the council in 26BBY which means if it was Ashoka she would be on the council at 10 years old, and ignoring the fact the Ashoka is orange white and blue and Shaak is just a walking USA flag, and completely ignoring the fact that they have totally different face markings, and the fact Askoa uses form V aka Shien grip, and Shaak used form II Aka Makashi and form IV aka Ataru, and the only canon aging from the force was the Emperor using lightning against Mace while it was reflected back to him from this saber. Then yeah makes totally could be. Or she could just flee during order 66, or not even go that far into the story of order 66. Edited December 11, 2009 by DarthSion Quote
sok117 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 wow darth sion, you really went out of your way to prove me wrong, and i applaud you for that (retract earlier post) there now it never even happened. Quote
DarthSion Posted December 12, 2009 Author Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) I bet the 20ish lego star wars sets I have that, Ashoka doesn't die, its aimed more for gen y and z, they wont show a young girl being killed, I bet they don't even cover it, they are just random stories, no chronological order, even Lucas himself said these stories may or may not have taken place. Corvus Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Star Wars Episode Guide: The Deserter 'While searching for General Grievous on a distant planet, Rex encounters a deserter' Well, this looks interesting. We might get to see some insight into the clones, and an episode without Ani and Ahsoka is always a plus to me. (Although there are exceptions, I've found Anakin's voice to be the worst of the lot- turning potentially good quotes into me slapping myself on the forehead.) Plus there's a Twi'lek right there in the preview picture. EDIT: That was episode 10. Here's Episode 9: Grievous Intrigue: A Jedi Master is taken hostage and tortured by General Grievous. Anakin, Obi-Wan and Adi Gallia devise a daring rescue plan, but they soon realize the General has a plan of his own. Adi Gallia is this person: Interesting.... Why are these two showing up? Is it a double episode? Quote
Oky Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Yes, on January 1st, these two episodes will air back to back. Can't wait to see Grievous again, and it's good that there will be even more new jedi. Quote
Captain REX Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 another episode with anakin? seriously hes had a main part in EVERY episode this season so far. Cant they just stop with the anakin and obi-wan and have another interesting jedi? Quote
Forresto Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I really can't wait 'till janurary 1st. To be honest I really hope we'll be seeing a DARKER general Grievous. I wonder though if we'll be seeing phase two clone troopers soon since Lego seems to be making them in the new upcoming wave. Quote
Zapper Brick Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Really? I thought he was way better and improved in season 1 than he was in the movie. And yea it sucks that we have to wait til next year I supose it helps he wasn't in The Clone Wars movie. Quote
Forresto Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I supose it helps he wasn't in The Clone Wars movie. Well I think instead of doing the plotline they did in the movie that they should have done the malevolance story instead. It would have been more epic and they could have put a lot more into the malevolance story. Personally for me that story in the series was wasted, simply because it was so short. I mean how malevolant is itt really we only see it destroy three venators and several y-wings. This ship is supposed to have been terrorizing the Republic fleets and then it was destroyed like that before us the audience knew what happened. Quote
Corvus Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 The episode preview is now up on Starwars.com. It seemed good, but I have a gripe- Grievous cut through a Magnaguard staff. I thought they were lightsaber-proof. Plus, Grievous still has only two fingers. Quote
simonjedi Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Vaguely on topic. My dad is a classic star wars fan (saw ANH back in 77.) and grew up on the classic trilogy. I'm trying to get him to watch the clone wars but he's seen the movie and didn't like it. He also doesn't like the style. What episodes should I show him (Season 1 only because i have it on dvd) that might get him hooked or at least not hating it? I'm Thinking: [*] Rookies [*] Cloak of Darkness [*] Lair of Grevious [*] Jedi crash two parter [*] Trespass [*] Hidden enemy [*] Ryloth trilogy Any other recommendations or suggestions? Quote

Sisco Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Personally, I loved Rookies, and even bought it on my iPod Touch. Here are the episodes I think would be good to show your dad: Rookies Ambush Tresspass Ryloth Trilogy Quote

RileyC Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I think in order to get into the Clone Wars you have to watch Rookies. It may not be the best episode but it gives you an in depth look at the clones personalities and how making them different really gives more to the story (but I still would want them to be exact clones in the perfect world). The Ryloth Trilogy would be a good one to show because it shows you how the Jedi protect the innocent and help them liberate a species. The visuals are really amazing in these episodes and are a lot better than the first few episodes of the season. Hostage Crisis is a great episode because it really sets up the next season with introducing Cad Bane and his companions. The story is really great and being able to include that many characters into one episode was really amazing. Those would have to be my top episodes to watch. Quote
