I don't think 100% of the population of Mandalore is a Mandalorian warrior. And me thinks it's not a good idea to still be fighting the Galactic version of the U.N with only 5 guys backing you up.

I think Mandalorians are not made up of just one species. I believe Mandalorian is more a way of life/culture so that if you're a believer of that way of life then you can be Mandalorian. At least that is the impression I got from the latest Star Wars novel that I'm reading ("Sacrifice").

The Mandalorians (called Mando'ade in Mando'a, meaning "children of Mandalore") were a warlike, nomadic group of clan-based people consisting of members from multiple species. Often, they served as mercenaries and bounty hunters.

Their culture revolved around that of battle and war being a source of honor and pride in their community. The leader of the Mandalorians typically took on the title of "Mandalore." Mandalorians were frequently allied with the Sith, most notably Exar Kun and much later as a prototype for the Clone trooper under the power of Darth Sidious and the Galactic Republic, though they would not hesitate to cooperate with the Jedi if it suited them.

Originally, the Mandalorian clans were Taung from Coruscant, led by the warlord "Mandalore the First". Around 24,000 BBY they conquered a planet in the Outer Rim, which they named Mandalore after their leader. The Taung then took the name Mandalorians and were seen by many as the most skilled fighters in the galaxy, thriving in battle. They were known for their use of cutting-edge weaponry and held to a strict code of honor. These Mandalorians wore crusader armor that differed from one soldier to the next.

So yes, basically the Mandolorian Tradition was a way of life, adopted by many species. 200px-Rodian_Manda.jpg

Yes but I'm talking about the average people of Mandalore! I think they want to join the Republic! :classic:

Why would they? On Mandalore, Everyone knows how to fight. I'd say they have more of a frontier type personality- too tough or proud to want to join the Republic.

These clone are weird.

They certainly are but I think they are also somewhat interessting.

We don't know their purpose jet but the wider helmets probably have a better protection against sonic weapons.

That or a dead-awesome helmet integrated stereo system.

Your right they would have a better protection against sonic weapons. I do like that idea of a kick !$^ stereo system better.

I would have to agree with clone killer and stealth hunter about the clone helmets. I would say they are for confronting geonosians, since they are one the only sonic weapon wielders I know in SW continuity. Oh and that Rodian mandalorian is completely win.

Those are some funny looking Clones we have there. Special supersonic helmets would indeed come in hand against Geos, as well as the Imp. Officers from BFII. I wonder who commands them, and if they will have a stereo special helmet.

I know I've seen a picture of one, but did you see one in the season 2 ad? If so, that would be amazing.

No, sadly there were no Rodian Mandos in the add, but here's hopin that they'll be in the next season somewhere.

@Emperor Claudius Rome: If the Clones did have any sort of defect, the Kaminoans would have slotted them. That's why Skirata became 'father' of the Nulls. He couldn't stand to see 6 innocent boys be killed because of the simple defect of lack of obedience.

What was wrong with the "Nulls"?

And it was a Joke

That's really not much of a defect :hmpf_bad:

Its not a defect from a good guy perspective but from Darth Sidious' and his master plan's perspective it is a fundamental defect since null clones may not exectuve Order 66 the way Cody did.

He was in quite a few episodes though, so it makes sense. The clone wars film had commander fox on one of the covers, and as far as i remember he never actually appeared in the film.

Because, Cody's awesome.

Anyway, that looks like it will be a day one purchase for me as well.

I still think we need at least a sub forum, so we can discuss all things Star Wars, so we don't have to add in stuff that doesn't 100% fit in some topics. Seeing as this is a Season 2 Topic, that's season one..... Well that's just my opinion and rant.

(But seriously, Star Wars Subforum anybody?)

What? Of course he did! Who do you think arrested Ziro?

The info about the Season 1 boxset isn't anything new btw, not to me at least. It was posted on the official SW website shortly after SDCC.

Well, I started a general SW discussion topic a while ago, but nobody ever cared to post in it. :sceptic: A subforum would be nice though.

I'm still not sure if I should get the blu ray or DVD boxset. blu ray doesn't look like a format that will last long. :sceptic: Also, I don't have a blu ray player in my room, only in the living room downstairs.
