-JD- Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Those clips are pretty cool DarthSion! Thanks. Zero G fighting looks like fun! I think I'll download some stills you provided links too as well. Quote
Forresto Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 (edited) If no one has noticed, there is two pages on the first episode of the second clone wars series, in the clone wars visual dictionary: Ultimate Battles. If you're like me and don't want to know the key points of that episode don't read it*. Here's it's Wookiepedia link. Wookiepedia *I'm not, Yet Edited September 5, 2009 by Forresto Quote
Captain REX Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 I found some clone wars season two clips. Go to this Website- http://www.starwars.com/walmart/index.html and type in the code "bountyhunter" Quote
Forresto Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Ths is really starting to look pretty sweet! The battle's look bigger and better. Everyone's characters are devolping. Rex is becoming more of a smart talking action soldier. Anakin seems slightly angrier, seriouser, and darker . Admiral Yularen is seeming to be more of a traditionalist milatary commander. Ashoka is well, you know. Cad Bane Looks even colder, somthing General grievous should be more like. I hope Denal lives up to his commander but have his own personality then being the action hero Rex is. Plus we're getting a Turbo tank which is being made into a new set next year. This should be a great season, can't wait ti'll Oct 2. Quote
Corvus Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Screens.http://au.media.tv.ign.com/media/826/826173/imgs_1.html 2 new clips as well, zero g fighting looks mad. http://au.media.tv.ign.com/media/826/826173/vids_1.html Interesting. Bane is looking good, but I'm not so sure about Sideous. He didn't seem so intimidating- "Excuse the interruption"?! Sideous is supposed to be the one who looks down on everyone, not apologise for disturbing them. On the other hand, looking very good, including the zero-g fighting. You know you quoted me twice.Well Ashoka is weak with the force, as for Anakin not exactly sure how much it would help it wouldn't be very controlled, i mean he cant like try to push the droids coming to him because that would send him backwards maybe even into a flip. Or it could be, because its LA, the ships fall from space but there's no gravity so the ships would just stay were they are, there's no figuring LA. I find it interesting they have already been trained to fight in ZeroG. Well i guess, maybe that's why the "mando", if that is what they are maybe its the mando who train Boba, either way we will start getting answers in a months time, although if they are mando i would expect them to be a mid season episodes. Well, I'm not sure the Force has recoil... whenever someone uses the Force in the movies, they don't get jerked backward by the force of the Force. Since the clones have been in training for eight or nine years or so (take one or two away to grow a bit) and I'd guess that they'd be trained in an aweful lot of stuff. Here are some clips from StarWars.com. It seems you have to get a code from Wal-Mart to see the videos. The code is 'bouny hunters'... Real creative. That took all of two seconds to think of. Link Pretty neat. Some better dialogue, good action, and we get to see a Juggernaut. I liked Admiral Yularen's complaint and how Anakin smacks him down. EDIT: Whoops, sorry, Captain REX. I missed your post. Quote
ILikePi Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Wow, those Wal-Mart videos were really good! Cad Bane is now officially my most favorite Star Wars bounty hunter of all time. I like how he isn't like Grievous. Grievous gets really mad easily, but he remains calm in times of danger. I can't wait for season 2 of Star Wars the Clone Wars to premiere! Quote
Corvus Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Wow, those Wal-Mart videos were really good!Cad Bane is now officially my most favorite Star Wars bounty hunter of all time. I like how he isn't like Grievous. Grievous gets really mad easily, but he remains calm in times of danger. I can't wait for season 2 of Star Wars the Clone Wars to premiere! 'Cause Grievous is a moron. I love Grievous in the books and first animated series, because he's cold and calculating and scary. In the CW, though.. Cad Bane is pretty sweet. I like how they've been able to flesh him out more than either Jango or Boba. Quote
Oky Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Clip 1: Wow! That's awesome! That's the kind of battle I have been hoping to see in this series! Looks like this show is finally living up to my expectations. Clip 2: Oooh. Ahsoka is in troooubleee. Sweet to some more Mace. Clip 3: Hehe. Yularen is lucky Anakin doesn't know how to force-choke yet. Interesting strategy. Can't wait for this episode. But one thing is for sure: The Lego AT-TEs are anything but pressurized. Btw, they are showing a new commercial now that confirms the premiere date of October 2: Edited September 7, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
hollisbrick Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Thanks Oky What about if you don't have CN? Will it be on the internet somewhere? Quote
DarthSion Posted September 7, 2009 Author Posted September 7, 2009 I dont think that can be discussed on here. Quote
Raphy Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 You think Cad Bane is genuinely scared of Darth Sidious? Quote
Oky Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I don't think so. He certainly doesn't look like it, and a man who knows to defend himself such as Bane doesn't need to be afraid of a hologram. Quote
Raphy Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Well, when Cad said that breaking into a Jedi Temple would be deadly, he had a worried expression on his face and when Sidious mused if his skills were exaggerated, he immediately said he'd like a fast starfighter and other weapons and whatnot. I hope he's not scared, because personally I believe Cad could make a pulp of Siddy . . . . Quote
Oky Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I'm sure it was just a pretend-worried expression. He did it to make his point of needing better equipment - and money. I know what you mean, but frankly, I don't think even the coolest bounty hunter is a match for a Sith lord. Remember how Han couldn't even harm Vader in ESB? Of course Han isn't an experienced, cold blooded bounty hunter, but still. I mean, come on, Sidious defeated Mace Windu for crying out loud! Admittedly, he had help, but still, if he can take on the best Jedi master ever*, a bounty hunter shouldn't be a threat to him. *Yoda is very good too, but Windu is better in lightsaber duel, making him the best IMO. Deinonychus Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Although I really, really, really don't want to see an appearance of Mandalore (the planet) in the show. I just know they're going to ruin it, the way the show runs over EU. Then get ready for Pacifist Mandalorians! I kid you not. I ran across the info while reading the new Essential Atlas, and Wookiepedia already had it handily typed up. No wonder Karen Traviss is giving up Star Wars novels, seeing as the TV show is about to toss everything she's done to establish the culture of the Mando'ade during the Clone Wars in the dust bin. Quote
-JD- Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 At it again Oky. I must disagree, and say Yoda is beter in a fight. I mean, he is like 3ft tall, and can jump twenty feet in the air, absorb Sith lightening, and move his saber at break neck speed. Mace is a little slow, and they went OTT in the old CW cartoon. Anyways: Cad Bane would be finished in seconds if he picked a fight with Sidious. Dang, he could probably force choke him via hologram if he wanted to! Quote
Raphy Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I dunno, if I was Siddy I wouldn't screw with a guy who isn't worried about Boba Fett, who could deliver quite a fight for Siddy anyways. :p Quote

I mean, he is like 3ft tall, and can jump twenty feet in the air, absorb Sith lightening, and move his saber at break neck speed. He still got his butt whooped though, with no one assisting Siddy. Mace is a little slow, and they went OTT in the old CW cartoon. Slow - but powerful! I dunno, if I was Siddy I wouldn't screw with a guy who isn't worried about Boba Fett, who could deliver quite a fight for Siddy anyways. :p If I were him, I wouldn't be scared of a troubled little boy either. He is just starting to become a bounty hunter at this point and probably can't do jack. Quote
Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?! Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 It would be interesting to see TCW tackle pascifists again Quote

No wonder Karen Traviss is giving up Star Wars novels, seeing as the TV show is about to toss everything she's done to establish the culture of the Mando'ade during the Clone Wars in the dust bin. I officially hate life now. Ugh.... Pacifist Mandalorians? Really? What idiot thought that up? I recently read that someone thought of Karen Traviss's Mandos as "Mandalorian Carebears"... I bet they're in for an ugly shock. So let me get this straight... The entire planet is pacifist? I thought pacifiscm was for those little monkey aliens, not the most badass race of beings in the SW galaxy. Quote
Raphy Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Besides talking about who would whoop who's butt, I just discovered that Cad Bane will be piloting a modified Porax-38 Starfighter. Better known as the MagnaGuard starfighter :0 Personally, I was betting Bane would be driving an awesome, blown V8 space musclecar and not a wimpy starfighter. >_> Quote
Oky Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Well, he might be flying one at one point, but according to the game Clone Wars: Republic Heroes Bane's ship is 'The Sleight of Hand': Which is even more disappointing IMO as it looks like the Twilight without wings. Quote
Captain REX Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 To me that ship looks like the front of a clone turbo tank, with those wing things on the back. Quote
Forresto Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 New clip I found on youtube from Holocron Heist link . Quote
Oky Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I just noticed that there is a series of webcomics called "Hunt for the Hunter" that lead up to the events of Season 2: Link There's also a game that connects to the latest comic: Droids Over Iego Quote
