iamded Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 That's very nice! "Kilo Moana", huh? Moana is Maori for ocean/sea, so that makes sense. ~Peace Quote
Batbrick Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 A very nice find Hobbes, this is one smartly built ship *y* Very clever, I love how well they've pulled off the catamaran. And made all out of bricks, very impressive. One thing I don't like is the height of the bridge, I think its too tall, need to be smaller in my opinion. Batbrick Something! *wacko* Quote
oo7 Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Oh yes, I've seen this beauty many times before while seeking every nautical vessel Brickshelf has to offer. I also like this ship made by the same guy very much. *y* That's very nice! "Kilo Moana", huh? Moana is Maori for ocean/sea, so that makes sense.~Peace 'Kilo Moana' is Hawaiian for 'Oceanographer'. It's funny how similar ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi and Te Reo Māori can be. See, even the names that they give their language are exceedingly similar. :-P She's a real ship you now, there's a couple pictures at the the bottom of the gallery. ~War Quote
Siegfried Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 I'm bumping this old topic as I was trying to find photos of this but was unable; the BrickShelf links are dead. No luck with mocpages or Flickr either. Any help would be appreciated. Quote

Asterios Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 So we can't bump topics but mods can? Rank has its privlidges. Quote
Derek Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 It's just the meaningless bumps that get people yelled at...If they are for a legitimate reason, then you are usually fine. Quote
Siegfried Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 I found one of Jacques-Yves Cousteau's Calypso Is that the type of ship you were after? Stunningly good MOC, but no. I has to be a catamaran... So we can't bump topics but mods can? Where did you get the impression of that? It's certainly not in the guidelines. Sales topics yes, but the rule for topic bumping has been for some time "feel free if there's a good reason". Please don't accuse me of being a hypocrite. It's just the meaningless bumps that get people yelled at...If they are for a legitimate reason, then you are usually fine. Exactly. Quote
