Athos Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Here's a creation I did a litle while back for Hinckley's survivor contest, this time with more photos (though these photos aren't great, as the house is quite dark and the yard is quite snowy), but let's take the tour anyway, the Baron is waiting: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau19.jpg Let's explore the exterior first: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau01.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau05.jpg Be sure to toss a few coins in the fountain for luck: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau20.jpg Lets look at my flowerbeds, before we go in: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau22.jpg Can I offer you a drink, before we go in? http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau21.jpg Let's start in the attic, where I store all the treasures I'm not displaying: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau06.jpg On the second floor is my collection of rare books are stored next to an Egyptian sarcophagus: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau07.jpg Along with my desk, with mysterious scroll: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau08.jpg Here is my dresser, with a spare pith helmet: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau09.jpg Is it nap time already? http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau11.jpg Alexis Sinister does her hair at the vanity: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau12.jpg Let's give her some privacy and go down stairs: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau10.jpg And into the dining room, looks like fish is on the menu: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau13.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau17.jpg Before we eat, we'd better check out the kitchen: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau15.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau16.jpg The main entry way, showcasing an ancestral suit of armor and precious ruby: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau14.jpg And here Sam Sinister examines an ancient Egyptian artifact: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau18.jpg The whole house: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=380349 Thanks for visiting... Commander Flash Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Wow. When i saw the exterior, i thought that was as good as it gets. But after seeing the interior details, i appreciated the entire house Quote
Tacitus Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Thanks for the tour! I'll have to come in for a drink. Tacitus Quote
Talin Agasan Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 That house is amazing. From the outside, I wasn't expecting such a rich interior. I was very impressed with the fountain and all the furniture/decor/artefacts - seriously detailed and carefully done. I wonder how Alexia passes the time when Sinister is racing against JT? Quote
I Scream Clone Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 A very nice exterior and interior all in one great MOC, Well done! I will be sure to try out some of these nice techniques for furniture etc. Cheers Quote
Darth Legolas Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Holy crudmuffins! That's impressive! I love the exterior, and the idea for the fountain was wonderful! And the Ivy on the side of the house! I also like the bed and the drawers, they show great technique! Quote
Guss Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 this castle looks very cool and it interior is awesome^^ great job on it! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I've seen this before in the 'Build whatever you like' contest I believe. There it had another interior, more castle style. I like the new interior, especially the small details everywhere. The paintings are very nice as well. The exterior is nice too, the fountain and the building itself. I like the shape and coloursheme a lot. Great work! Quote
Athos Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 I've seen this before in the 'Build whatever you like' contest I believe. There it had another interior, more castle style. It was in the contest that Hinckley was running. Though the interior hasn't been changed at all. Just some closer-up pictures so you can see it better. Steve Quote
