Erdbeereis Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 72c My entry for the Pirate Staff Contest. Starring: Zorro, Captain Zuloo, Erdbeereis, Captain Green Hair and Slyowl! Trouble in Paradise... The pirate scallywags have come to a seemingly deserted islander village. They begin to rid the village of any islander artifacts, and start up their party. One of the pirates has even brought a model ship called "The Prince Willim" along to test. Little do they know that the village is not as deserted as it seemed.... More pictures on: Brickshelf (With some WIP pictures) and Flickr Thanks! Quote
Admiral M Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 (edited) Funny! I like the terrain, too. A very commical moc. good work with that "spiral of fire" that the chieftain or shaman is wrapped in Edited April 29, 2009 by Admiral M Quote
Joey Lock Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 The Sprial of Fire reminds me of something a Cheif would do on Populus : The Begining, A old Bullfrog game I had. It was sooo awesome. I love the steaks, Very nicely done! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Awesome creation Erdy! I really like it. The idea is great and it's also funny you put CP staff in it, along with their character traits. The MOC itself is a masterpiece at it's own. Amazing details like the flesh on the table, the water looks great. Especially the Prince Willim! Kahuka is casting an odd spell which looks cool. The hut and the tree near it are very well done. Great entry Erdbeereis! I wish you the best of luck! Quote
Guss Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 awesome entry Erdi ! I love the little CGH with his cool boat! ^^ the technic used for the caban with the kind of flame is awesome, I love it^^ Quote
Hound Knight Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I really like the layout of this dio, with the water surrounded by land on all sides. The beef chunks are cool looking as well! Quote
sinoxp Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Wow, very creative scenario! Details like the bundle of wood, the steaks, the guy sitting by the water, and the miniature boat are my favorites. Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 So much to look at. The meat is awsome. I was just trying to think of a way to represent meat last weekend. I like your better. My version was more of a roast. Great job on all the vegitation and I like the birds you built as well. Quote
ILikePi Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 (edited) Great job, Erdbeereis! Your MOCs always amaze me. I love all of the details you put, and the shape of the terrain. Edited April 30, 2009 by ILikePi Quote
Erdbeereis Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 Thanks for the nice comments guys! Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Nice work Erdy, the little details are phenomenal! I love the meat and the little bird in the even so lovely made tree. My small Prince Willim looks cool as well, but did you really have to mess up my hair and crap on my trousers? I do think the corners of the pond are a bit straight, and i don't like white plates in the water, it looks unnatural IMO. Just my 2 cents, good luck buddy! Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 ...the guy sitting by the water, and the miniature boat are my favorites. That's not just any guy sitting by the water, that's Captain green hair! Great entry Erdy. I have to agree about the white plates, there wouldn't be waves in a lake of that size. But who am I to complain, that MOC is awesome. It beats the crap out of my entry. Well done Ice Cream! Quote
Erdbeereis Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Thanks Greenie and Zuloo! I actually agree with the white in the water, I just wanted to try it out. At least I know for next time now. You don't learn if you don't try. Thanks again! Quote
Admiral M Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Those scallywags look familiar... So...what are you doing in this? Edited May 2, 2009 by Admiral M Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 One of Erdy's hobbies is cooking I believe, so I guess he is pouring some...stuff...in the soup. I'd better watch out before eating soup next time. Quote
