BatonMedved Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 A great idea visited me. Why dont they make a forest harvester for Farm? Eventually, Denmark is a nordic country, and a high-tech robo harvester will be a nice touch popular the same among the kids and AFOLs. add info: http://www.komatsuforest.com/ What do you think? That's a great idea, BatonMedved! But I don't think that TLG will release this in the Farm line. There would have to be a complete new line such as Forest. It would be awesome to have a forest harvester, a wood transporter, a forester's house, a dark gree offroad vehicle and some additional little Forest sets! :oh: But for 2010 I personally don't see it happen since it's clear that one of the three big lines will be Trains. And I bet that one of the two others will be either Beach or Winter - or perhaps even both. Plus hopefully some more City buildings such as a bank, a grocer's shop, a post office and a family house. legoindy01 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 last year when the sets rumoured did we get only a list around july or pictures and a list around august. And when did rumours of the second waves start coming around. I know pics started in around mid-jan. Quote

And when did rumours of the second waves start coming around. I know pics started in around mid-jan. Some of the sets of the second wave were already on the list we got in August. Other rumours started about around Christmas plus after Christmas we got the first pics. But exclusvie sets are always not part of these rumour lists and appear much, much later. Btw: Having seen the pics of the awesome designed camel and ostrich here - do you think that we'll get a zoo theme next year for City? (Then they could use all of this year's new and pld animal (molds) like crocodiles, camels, ostrichs, fish ... for this.) Klaus-Dieter Quote

(Then they could use all of this year's new and pld animal (molds) like crocodiles, camels, ostrichs, fish ... for this.) Klaus-Dieter I see that as a high possibility. Zoos have always appealed to kids, so a Lego zoo would sell well. For additional animals, they could always repaint the horse mold to look like a zebra Quote
brickzone Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 (edited) Also you could have houses with various birds, bats, snakes and spiders/giant ants - it's pretty doable without any further molds than what there are and the new ones we've seen. However, I wouldn't hold my breath. Edited July 23, 2009 by brickzone Quote
Xenophilius Studz Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Here is the themes that I'm SURE will come back next year: Star Wars Indiana Jones City Castle Technic New themes Ben 10 Prince of Persia Toy Story 1-3 Possible themes that may come back: (I don't own any of the 2009 sets of these themes, except for Pirates, so I have no idea how good they are) Agents Power Miners Space Police Pirates My main hope is that next year, more sets of SW will revolve around the real saga, not Clone Wars. Sets from the OT and from the PT(One in particular, Boonta Eve Classic Podrace re-release) Indy: More of the original movies, unless they can pull of an Area 51 scene from KOTCS. Wanna see some impulses, zepplien, Club Obi-Wan, stuff like that. City: More Farm sets, and downtown, non-emergency sets like this year. A Post Office, town hall, Store, Park, stuff like that. Castle: Elves Pirates: Blue coats Power Miners. Maybe a Power Miners HQ, new miners, more big monsters. Agents: Agents HQ, new agents, new vehicles, new baddies And I'm not sure about Space Police, other then more aliens and vehicles Quote

At least we still have oT. That's about as real as it gets! Quote

That's about as real as it gets! Thats true. Then I have a New Hope! I want updated Mos Eisley set, with Luke's speeder and sandtroopers and GREEDO! Or just a big Cantina with the bartender, aliens of all sorts, the band, Han, Chewie, Luke, Ben, 3PO, and R2. Maybe a Jawa or two. Or a big Cloud City set. That would be cool And if we're doing this right, a Imperial Battle pack with some useless vehicle, maybe a Speederbike. Includes some Stormtroopers, maybe some Biker Scouts. And the Rebel Battle pack: Some more useless vehicle Rebel Commandos, maybe the Tantive IV guys. I personally want the Commandos more. EDIT: I think I MAY have found some super-blurry pictures of future battlepacks on BS. I searched 'LEGO 2010' Edited July 28, 2009 by Xenophilius Studz Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 3, 2009 Author Posted August 3, 2009 I was at one of my local toy sellers today and asked him whether he already has the seller's catalogue. He negated and said that it firstly will come after toy fair 2010. But I don't believe that since that would mean that he would order new sets for January and February he don't know how they look like. It's really a pity that we haven't heard - apart from the two (supposably) Hoth BPs - any rumors on SW and City sets for the first half of next year! This year it seems to be extremely late that rumors come up! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Glacarcheo Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Wow. I kinda doubt that.. LEGO wouldn't show us products before showing their customers (store owners) them, I think the man you talked to was lying. Also, I'm hoping the BPs aren't Hoth, but that's another topic. Quote
legoindy01 Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I'll be surprised if we hear anything before Sept. to tell you the truth. I think lego is really trying to keep new sets a secret. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 According to rumors posted on Jedinews Indiana Jones is to be discontinued in 2010. Imo that would make sense and be comprehensible since there will be four new licensed themes (Cars, Toy Story, Prince of Persia and Ben 10) in 2010. And - according to legomilk - we'll get twp new themes - the only question is whether the new licensed themes are counted to them or not. Klaus-Dieter Quote
Etzel Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Sad - but not surprising - news that is IJ has been a great theme but like in all licensed themes the ideas for new sets quickly runs thin. In a way I'm happy that IJ ends before it becomes an repeating-set theme like SW has been. Sure there are some scenes from the movies left that could been made into sets but why not leave that to the MOCers Quote
______ Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Someone somewhere mentioned Atlantik (don't kill me if its already been mentioned in this thread I haven't read all of the comments) Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Atlantic has been mentioned earlier, but the discussion seems to have turned to other things. Have you heard any more about it? It's sad that the Indiana Jones lego will be ending, looks like I need to pull my finger out and get the sets I have been putting off. Maybe next years sets are sort of being stuffed behind the Licsenced properties... So we are getting all sorts of new and expensive because-of-the-name-and-trademark-holder but no sign of the real Lego. Quote
legoindy01 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 If spongebob outlasts indiana jones then I'll be mad! Quote
Sandy Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 What is Atlantik? Atlantic?Steve They're talking about a theme revolving around the sunken city of Atlantis. You know, because that mermaid in the pirate ship instantly means we're going to have a mermen theme next year. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 What is Atlantik? Atlantic?Steve We have no idea what it is, or whether the name should be spelt with a 'c' or a 'k'. However we are a due an underwater theme. Quote

You know, because that mermaid in the pirate ship instantly means we're going to have a mermen theme next year. We have no idea what it is, or whether the name should be spelt with a 'c' or a 'k'. However we are a due an underwater theme. It was said that it'll be similar to the Aquazone theme from 2007. But I highly doubt that since this theme seemed to be not a very big success. Possibly it's a remake of the brilliant underwater exploration theme from the mid-ninetees as a new subtheme for City - that would be awesome! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Athos Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Who says this? I must have missed this rumor... Steve Quote
