Great review as always Svelte! The conquistador armour is gorgeous, and Mutt is so much hotter as a minifig! We (ie. the Walrus and I) were very happy to find out the prices for the new Indy sets. For licenced sets, they're reasonably priced. We just hope the good prices hold out, what with Lego's recent trend of upping prices without warning... They're definitely a better deal than the Blockade Runner set...$280AUD...ouch!!

Thanks, Keeper. Your Walrus has been sleepy! Those sets have been available for a while

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that you are already trained in the arts of assessing minifig hotness!

I agree about the pricing, which is very good for licensed sets. I can only conclude that because Indy doesn't sell so well outside the US, the prices are a bit more enticing. SW seems to sell no matter what the price tag, so Lego probably errs on the high side. Hell, if they can get away with it, why not?

I'm sure the RBR will come to a sale in Australia eventually - and you seem to have your Walrus well under control in that regard

Definitely no argument there. You could have knocked me over with a feather when the UCS Millenium Falcon reached the number one spot on Shop at Home, and stayed there for weeks, even when it cost Australians just under $1000! You really have to wonder at what point people will say "Gosh, that's just too darn expensive, even for a Star Wars set".

Off topic in my own review, but I'm still amazed that the Carousel is still doing so well, even with the price jump from $300 to $400!

Great work with the Pirate T too!

im realy debating on this set, it would definatly be a parts set for me but i love the minifigs  Perhaps i can get it for my birthday. The set itself isnt all that great but like i mentioned you get some great parts and mabee i could make a recreation of the movie schese with it (you know a MOC of the whole tomb and hiding places for the warriors?) :oh:
