From now on this thread is about the sets and nothing else like I asked before.

Don't bother to post about anything else, it's a waste of effort! I'll get rid of any off-topic posts from this point on.

New Post:

So, how am I supposed to make room for such a massive set alongside my giant WIPs? Do we have dimensions?

Someone over at LowLUG counted a 48 x 48 green base (I didn't bother myself). Not sure if it's one green 48 x 48 baseplate though. Judging from the pic I've seen I'd say a lot of the price will be for the PF-functions. I'll definitely pass on this one. Bring on the new CC building! (btw: Anyone have any news on the new CC building?)

That is definitely what it is. I have confirmation on that.

I couldn't resist and looked at the merry-go-round. It seems a bit expensive for $380. It only took me about 30 seconds to find it.

Tsk, Tsk. Bad boy

I agree on both counts, unfortunately.

I found it, and it's cool  .

But, to comply with Hinckley, keep it a surprise, honor LEGO's requests, and piss everyone else off ( ), I will not post a link OR upload it to my flickr.

All I will say is this: Yes, there are a lot of Jester hats.

Goodbye :classic:

Whats the Rebel Blockade Runner look like?

I see about 8 jester hats on the merry go round. On the top there is a boatload of rare parts, such as pearl gold dishes, gold crystals, and tan beards. There are also lots of minifigs and short people.

Merry Go Round seems very attractive, but, hell a way overpriced...39990 JPY is equal to 405 USD, counted at xe.com. Even if loaded with all those power and sound functions, 405 bucks I will better spent for other Lego stuff... :hmpf_bad:

Let's just wait and see, if one thing's for sure, then it would be that Lego prices differ all around the world. And Japan is one of the more 'expensive' countries...

My guess? Around 200/250 Euro...

The pricing is definitely all wrong. So don't fret about the prices just yet! The sets will surely be expensive but not THAT expensive.

Check out the price for the AT-OT - 39,990 JPY which equates to about $400 but we know that from LEGO.com, it's actually $250 or £166.

No, the pricing isn't all wrong.

Japan often has to pay 1.5-3 times more for LEGO than the US.

Actually, I shouldn't be laughing, since I'm part-Japanese, and it ticks me off when Japan gets screwed.:angry:
