kill will Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) Sounds boring. Advent calendars and a merry-go-round. With lots of jester hats. And is huge. I WANT! I can't wait! EDIT: Wow 99 people veiwing... Edited May 7, 2009 by kill will Quote
CDC Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Some surely legitimate public source, which I won't disclose (even not by PM, so please stop PMing me) for the time being. What a shame. It really seems that we'll just have to wait Quote
Matn Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) I'm glad the staff have removed the pictures. This time I really want to wait untill LEGO shows the pictures. I'm looking forward to the Christmas sets and the Merry Go A Round set. The surprise will be much more surprising when we all wait! Edited May 7, 2009 by Matn Quote
Algernon Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I missed them! Hell and damnation! When is the official release anyway? I'm quite curious about these. There yet remain some Space Police and Power Miners exclusives that we have not seen, as well; are they included? Quote

I'm looking forward to the Christmas sets and the Merry Go A Round set. The surprise will be much more surprising when we all wait! I really appreciate that being said. It's difficult to see news and not be able to post it. But there's fun in the surprise, too! I used to love getting the new catalog and reading it all at once a month or so before the new lines came out. When I was a kid, they only released new sets once a year. So, it was like Christmas to get a new catalog. It seems, with the internet, we get pics so early, it kind of takes the fun out of new sets being released. Anyway, thanks and I can guarantee you won't be waiting very long at all to see the new set. Quote
Freddie Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I second what Matn said. There's not much pleasure in a surprise if it is spoiled. Even though I'm guilty at studying leaked pictures. The Merry-Go-Round sounds awfully expensive, though. And I haven't made room in my LEGO-budget for it. *sigh* Quote

I was thinking about this today (even before this thread was posted): As a kid I used to go to the toy store and drool over the LEGO catalog the rest of the day. Nowadays there's always people getting sets two months before everyone else, posting extensive reviews online, which - to be honest - reduces the fun once you get your hands on the set yourself. For example, I would really like to receive the news about the new CC style set this spring/summer and be able to order it from S@H the same (ok maybe the next) day. Even though I'm guilty at studying leaked pictures. I'm sure you're not the only one Edited May 7, 2009 by Rick77 Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Oh, what a pity - I missed these pics! I hope that someone of them who saw (and surely saved them ) will be that nice and pm me. Rebel Blockade Runner sounds awesome! That's finally what we're waiting for years! And the price of 250 Dollars (supposably even 250 Euros) is what I thought it would be like. The marriage-go round set sounds very interesting. Without pics it's hard to judge. Is there only a marriage-go-round in the set or even some other fairground stands (would be awesome)? Are there minifigs included in this set or is it only a Creator set? Klaus-Dieter Quote

Weather it be TLC posting pics,or a memeber,it doesn't matter. Anyways, if anyone really wants to find the pics, all you need to dois google search. It seems that everytimepics like this are post pre-maturly, someone out there ends up saving them. Quote

But think Klaus-Dieter...what if all of your precious OT minifigs had...CW FACES? :skull: Quote
TheBrickDaddy Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Does anyone know anything about the new Star Wars 10198? If it's like the Dropship and AT-OT, bad piece-minifig-price ratio, I'm skipping it this time. I hope its a Tantive IV version and not some lame-O Clone Wars version. The carousel looked amazing, but quite expensive... Quote
Sandy Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 The marriage-go round set sounds very interesting. Indeed it does... Psst, it's "merry-go-round". Marriage is when you get a wife or a husband. But I managed to see the picture. The set is great, although it likely appeals most to AFOLs with a huge room-sized LEGO city in their basements. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Now I saw the pic of the merry-go-round (sorry for the wrong spelling before ): It looks very, very huge and there seem to be a lot of minifigs included (I count eight minifigs). But the price is very huge, too. Until now I don't know whether I'll buy it or not since the pic is too blurry. It isn't very supposably that TLG will release more fairground sets. And only one merry-go-round but no candy stand, shooting gallery, ferris wheel, ... doesn't look that good. Apart from that I won't have the money anyway since I firstly want to get the RBR (of which I did only find a pic with a blue background with nothing on it - was that before like that, too, or did someone see the RBR really?) and that's a big hole for my wallet anyway. And since it is that hugeI fear that it won't go in size with the regular City sets anyway. Well, let's see. Klaus-Dieter Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) It's it a feris wheel? No, it's not a ferris wheel - it's a huge merry-go-round. The baseplate seems to look to me like 32x32 in green. Btw: I think that these won't be all Exclusives we'll see in the second half of this year. Only remember the rumours about another exclusive Castle set and the rumours about a CC styled building. And it's exciting that the three new regular Castle sets don't appear in that catalogue, too. So there is hope for another Caslte Exclusive and (for those who like) even a new CC styled building. legoindy01 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I know this is going to make me sound like a total beginer noob, but what does "JPY" mean I've been wondering for some time. And by the way if you want to find the pics just search on brickshelf for them. I myself am going to wait and appreciate whoever took the pics off. Quote

Lego12 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I really want to see the new sets, especially the merry-go-round, but I'm not going to, because I want it to be a surprise, and I'm glad the staff has made an effort to take down the pics. Thanks guys. Quote
