Tom Bricks Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Sorry if this has been posted before but I found this while searching the internet: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/mahjqa/A...resentation.pdf This was very interesting as I seems to be from before 2009 and now we can see some of the sets mentioned here coming true- (10196 Merry-go-round and Farm sets). Could some of these other sets be produced soon? Quote
Ricecracker Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Interesting find! Thanks for showing this to us, I think it'll be a good reference for future speculation. Quote
BlueBard Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Interesting, indeed. Great find and as Ricecracker says a nice source of speculations Quote
Alywin Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Very good find! Thanks. I checked the file that it was created back in August 2008. So it seems that TLC did considerably follow the insights gained from the Ambassdors in 2009. As a City fan, the survey results match my thoughts also. So, hopefully, we might be able to see more and more interesting City sets satisfying our needs! Quote
Rick Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I did follow the discussion about possible new City sets back then, never browsed through Mahjqa's presentation though. I'm surprised at how much has already been incorporated in the summer 2009 City line-up and - judging from the TRU poll - will be incorporated in City 2010. I hope these 'city life' sets will sell well with kids, but I bet they will appeal to a lot of parents who ultimately have to buy these sets for their kids. Quote
prateek Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 i think this is from the kids inner circle. anyway, nice find, i agree with most of this stuff, a marina would be cool Quote
furious Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I like how it had to specifically point out that set do not have to be pink to attract female fans. What is Legos management from the 19th century. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Thank you very much for that great find, Tom Bricks! When I read through this file I think that sets which are very supposably that TLG will release them next year (because of the high demand) could be: -post office -bank -grocery with delivery van -taxi station -hotdog Impulse set -zoo -public tranportation center wit helevated train (looking similar to the Airport Shuttle set) with hamburger stand as the ToysRUS fans' choice set -big family house with detailed interior as a S@H Exclusive -water tower as S@H addition to 10194 Emerald Night What do you think? Klaus-Dieter Quote
Tom Bricks Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 I think that a zoo would be a welcome addition to town sets and would be a god way to get uncommon or even new animals. I would also like a taxi set because these have been absent from the city line for years. Quote

Klaus-Dieter I guess hot-dog impulse set probably has been covered by 8398 already. I agree public transportation centre would be covered by the big Toyrus fans' elected set. The other thing we might like to see is that, emergency rescue lines probably would be put a lighter emphasis in the coming 1 or 2 years probably, if TLC really goes for more "daily" style, though I do want a "proper" hospital (Don't even mention the odd 7892... ). You know quite a lot of City fans' towns are populated by excessive civil servants. It is strange we got one cop and one fireman to cover one or two citizens, though it sounds safe... Quote
