dviddy Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 If you like the heavier stuff I suggest you check out the seespotrock tour. It is almost over but it looks to be good. I am going to try and go in Dec. Been here and gone. I think they were here in Tulsa... three weeks ago? Somesuch thing. I do like some heavier stuff, but I draw the line at screamo, and flat out heavy metal. No. And the See Spot Rock tour this year didn't have the punch the last few years have had. The bands this year were almost unknowns, and they didn't have the range of musical stylings found in the first three years. And Pillar was there, again. Pillar, I think, has decided to make it their headline tour. lol. That's alright, I love Pillar. Have to support the hometeam. Yeah I run into the Pillar guys at Wal*Mart. Whoo! <<DV>> Quote

blueandwhite Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Interesting choices thus far... As for me, it's; 1) Pearl Jam You either love them, or you hate them (one of the best live acts, PERIOD)!! There is no middle ground. 2) U2 Strong stage presence despite the stale set-list. Crowds are often less than enthusiastic at live shows. 3) DMB Another great live act. Like Pearl Jam, they have amazing fan support (ironically, liking Pearl Jam & DMB is tantamount to hypocrisy). Currently listening to The Arcade Fire. Totally wild and incredible to see live. As you can guess, for me a band is judged both by the music and by their live performances. Later. Quote
