Nice review, good photos.

Thats a Really Small hospital....

I think it'd be better off if they took the pieces and made it into a 1floor clinic instead...

that would look decent... but still overpriced I think...

Doctor yes, but not nurse like you Yoda! I can just see you now in a blue pinnie with a white head scalf!

Just to clarify, I'm actually a Nurse. I'm a bloke (though call me a "male nurse" and I'll tear your throat out! *sweet* ). Hence my noticing this. Yeah, I can understand LEGO keeping costs down, not seeing the actual need etc. But surely even kids are going to notice something like that. Lots of kids spend time in hospital or visit folks in hospital. They will always see a Nurse. Its a glaring ommission. I'm just amazed no-one's raised it before.

Despite my gender, the reason I referred to female LEGO characters is that that's what children will expect. At a young age, keeping to stereotypes just makes life easier and simpler on the child. And as I say, LEGO seem to have a habit missing female minfigs.

How about female policeman or firefighter? Normal in the real world, not in LEGO world!

And I wear a white pinny, but no head scarf! X-D

i was thinking, why isnt it just a one floor clinic instead, before i even read Xenologers post. I think lego was doing well before because it was more about the brick. Now its all about money, like everything else these days...

Just looking through some of the other threads. First time I've ventured out of "theatre".

Saw the vignette done by jof's 7 year old daughter. Stretcher-bearer, patient, Doctor (with stethoscope) and it looks a NURSE. Case in point. Done by 7 year old!!!

I vaguely recall some years ago, playing with my LEGO (before my second childhood told hold), I had a LEGO ambulance and expanded on it and made a Nurse (female of course) using a knight's cape at the front to look like an apron. Don't think I made a cap. I suppose I couldn't have as it couldn't have gone over hair. Unless I had a BALD female Nurse! That would be stupid, now, wouldn't it?

Yup

I'm not ever getting this Hospital set

Fireman's Car with hospital colors... 3$

Helicoptor... looks like a 7$ set to me

some simple rooms made of mostly basic bricks.... 20$ at most

baseplate.... whatever

I am not seeing this set being worth 50$....

sorry about the USD prices.....but you get the idea....

this set is not in the greek catalogue thow the new helicopter the doctors car and the ambulance are availiable..

i asked if its coming and they said NO! :'-(

no market in greece for this set! boys just want cars and chopers and some more cars and maybe a boat..no buildings if they are not police stations! why did i play with the lego hospital when i was a child??

(there has to be smth wrong with me X-O )

as for the nurse issue i dont understand why there isnt one or at list a sick lady in the hospital.in the old ambulance before this there was one...but i guess if the new lego cities dont have ANY women then there isnt going to be a sick one either!! hehehehehehe :-P :-P

someone should tell TLC that we are also bying lego and we give a lot more money than 4 year olds for our collections!

:-) phoinix

....with a new detailed white keyboard tile piece....

Not new I'm afraid. These have been knocking about for years... :classic:

I have to agree with most of the other comments about this set. It had promise (good minifigs, large baseplate, chopper, OR, etc) but just looks as if it has been designed with the budget in mind and bugger the quality. This is a shame. More floorspace inside the building instead of either the jeep or the helipad would have been so much better. I guess that kids want vehicles which is why it has ended up like this but I won't be investing.

Cheers

its the ultimate redneck operating room. broke your leg or arm? no problem we'll just cut it off.

I was thinking the same when I saw that circular saw. I don't see much wrong with the other rooms, but the rest of the set is underwhelming.

The city line has come a long way since this set was released three years ago, although they're still going cheap with the stickers instead of printing.
