Posted May 13, 200915 yr Just curious to see if I had a good deal or not. It's brand new lego: instore 2008 display models in pre-mixed bags. Without greasy fingerprints or dustbunnies. Got 5 bags. Payd £5.35 per bag, which is I think 500 or 750 grams each (don't have scales). One bag free with my gift card. Unfortunately relatively many Indiana Jones grey and technic bits. Some nice items. Most important: I can start MOCing now without taking bits off my complete sets. Its certainly cheaper than PAB, but is it a good deal?

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, especially if it includes Indiana Jones stuff. Those sets have some nice parts. Cheers, Ralph
May 14, 200915 yr Author Been to the Milton Keynes Lego shop, have you? Yes. Clearly you have aswell. Did you get some too? I wonder what they do with the minifigs: there were none in any of the 8 bags I checked.
May 14, 200915 yr Its certainly cheaper than PAB, but is it a good deal? Compared to the discount PAB currently at LLW which is £27 per kilo, it's a good deal money wise. However as you can't chose the parts that make up the bag, it's pot luck as to the usefulness of the contents. I guess it depends on what interesting models they've had on display recently. I remember picking a couple up at Bluewater a few years ago. I ended up, amongst other things, with about 250 Brick 2x3 with curved top in assorted colours.

I'm afraid I haven't, but I know somebody who works there and she posted a message about it on the brickish website . I can ask her what they do with the figures, but I suspect they may sell the figures separately. I remember people from the shop in Brighton selling minifigures from a stand they had at Brighton model world earlier this year at £6 per four, which was actually pretty cheap considering that they had some really good and rare parts and that you were allowed to give each fig two tools in its hands.
